Some people just make you smile the entire time you're around them, and Diana + Michael were those people. ❤️

From the moment we started planning their wedding, it was clear they wanted a day that felt like them. A celebration of their marriage, their faith, their families, and the story that brought them here.

And what a story it is... meeting in college over late-night philosophical conversations, building careers that serve others, blending their different backgrounds and traditions, and creating a life together filled with purpose, laughter, and a whole lot of love.

Their wedding day was meaningful, beautiful, and full of the kind of moments you can't plan. The quiet ones. The hilarious ones. The ones where you look around and think, "this is exactly how it should be."

One of the questions I get every senior season...

"Can we add family photos to my senior session?"

Absolutely. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

In fact, I love when families do this. Senior year is a huge milestone, not just for your senior, but for everyone who's helped get them here.

Here's how it works:

• Add 15, 30, or 60 minutes to your senior session.
• We'll plan both the family and senior portions ahead of time, so everything feels organized and relaxed.
• On session day, we'll start with the family photos while everyone is together.
• Once family is finished, they can head home, and the rest of the session is all about your senior.

It's the easiest way to update your family photos without booking a separate session, and your senior still gets the full experience they deserve.

It's a little surreal when your baby cousin asks you to photograph her wedding🥰

Crystal and Floyd said "I do" surrounded by the beautiful fields at the Fox Farm Inn, and every part of their day felt so perfectly them. From the bride and groom dinosaur cake toppers, to Floyd's skull tie and gothic boutonniere, to the ribbon from our late grandma wrapped around the bouquet, every detail told a piece of their story.

Watching the way they laughed together, supported each other, and simply fit together made it obvious these two were meant to find one another.

It was such an honor to capture this chapter for our family.

Congratulations, Crystal & Floyd. Wishing you a lifetime of adventure, laughter, and just the right amount of dinosaur-sized love. 🦕❤️

Unpopular opinion:

Sunset isn't always the best time for family photos.

I know. Every photographer talks about golden hour like it's magic. And honestly, it is.

Unless you're two years old.

For a lot of little kids, sunset means they've already had a full day. They're tired, hungry, overstimulated, and about 15 minutes away from declaring war because someone looked at them wrong.

Could we still get beautiful photos? Absolutely.

But sometimes the better choice isn't chasing perfect light. It's choosing the time when your family feels its best.

A happy toddler at 6:00 p.m. will almost always give you better photos than an exhausted toddler at 8:30 p.m.

That's why I don't believe every family session should look the same. We talk about your kids' schedules, personalities, and routines before we ever pick a time.

Because the best family photos aren't created by the sun.

They're created when your family can simply be yourselves💕
