From Anaconda to Helena!
After wrapping up filming Saturday morning, I headed to Helena for the premiere screenings of the Montana 48 Hour Film Project.
This was our first year jumping into the 48 Hour Film Project—writing, shooting and editing an entire short film in just 48 hours—and while we didn’t take home an award, our film was nominated in FOUR categories:
**Best Visual Effects
**Best Special Effects
**Best Use of Genre
** Best Use of Dialogue
For our first time out, I’m pretty darn proud of that.
The whole experience was fast, chaotic, creative and a ton of fun—and seeing our film up on the big screen alongside all the other Montana teams’ work was a pretty cool way to finish it off.

Saturday morning in Anaconda. ❤️
I had the chance to spend the morning filming the Smelter City Scamper, and there was just such a positive energy in the air. Runners, volunteers, families and community members all coming together—and a pretty great Montana backdrop to go with it.
Anaconda really is such a beautiful town, and mornings like this are a good reminder of how much character and community there is in the places right in our backyard.
Grateful I got to capture a little piece of it.

It was an honor to help share Cara’s story of her daughter’s battle with meningitis and the support their family received through the Patient Compassion Fund.
