This has been a great week. I rarely talk about personal 'going ons' (as they say in the south) beyond my closest circle, much less on social media. I am an very introverted and private. And Virgo to a tee.
Since my time with the mustangs and love for them has grown I have tried to focus on sharing them with folks in the region. Most folks didn't know that wild mustangs existed. It's a passion to share how remarkable they are with anyone that would listen.
Their personalities, their bonds, their intelligence, their gentle yet wild spirits. The only thing I love more than being with them is sharing about them. I love that we are becoming a community that loves them as well. Last year, between sales in this area, California, Utah and New York we raised over $3000 which was donated to three amazing sanctuaries and legal advocates.
This week, with the help and support of several people, the dream of introducing the children to the wild horses began.
The children are the future. If we can teach them and learn from them, we can make the world a better place. For all living things.
We had "Mustang Mania" at the library, where we shared a story a meeting and saving the mustangs. Then as a group, the children colored pictures and wrote letters to our senators and representatives. As they brought their letters and pictures up to be sent, they received a "Wildlife Hero" certificate for their participation. Each child got to take home a book, an adorable 3D printed horse, and their certificates declaring them "Wildlife Heroes".
My heart is full.

Crystal Pilcher who 3D printed the adorable mini horses for the kids. She did an amazing job! Then on the day of pick up she donated them for the cause. They were a big hit with the kids and adults!
And a special thanks to the Calhoun-Gordon County Library for their invitation and opportunity. They shared the vision and love of the chilren and horses. The work they do is tremendous and so often under appreciated. Thank you for opening the to the world of the Wild Mustangs to the children.
This is the beginning. The children are the future.
