Coffee on the Porch- Camden, Maine Welcome to our FB page, dedicated to the businesses that carry our coffee as well as the beautiful town of Camden, where our coffee is roasted.

We don't have a store open to the public but those that carry our coffee are listed on our website.-Dan Dishner I have been around coffee my entire life. My Mom always had a fresh pot of coffee on the stove when I was growing up. As I recall, my Dad never turned down a cup of coffee and like most people of his generation, his coffee was Colombian and it came out of a can. Over the course of time, I realized that buying whole beans and grinding my own resulted in a better cup of coffee. Soon I was buying a couple different roasts and blending my own. I will never forget the day a friend brought me a bag of coffee that his Dad had roasted. From that moment forward I have sought to achieve the perfect cup of coffee by roasting my own beans. I have been doing this now for several years and I continue to learn something new everyday. If you like a good cup of coffee I think you will like Coffee on the Porch. I believe I have a roast that fills the spectrum of just about every coffee drinker. I think my Dad would really like my coffee too.

Captain Gus and Lazy Jack- Good morning from the Coast of Maine. I arrived at the Curtis Island Outlook just in time to catch Captain Gus before he dropped the sails on Schooner Lazy Jack. They were returning from a tour of Penobscot Bay and had just passed Curtis Island on the right with the Adirondack chair facing Camden Harbor. For tickets just ask one of the Umbrella People located on the Boardwalk.

How is everyone? I finally broke down and put a blanket over the sheet on the bed. The cooler temperatures make for great sleeping! I’m still wearing my shorts though. My cup of Honduras Natural is going well with my donut from Old Time Donuts! They have been carrying our coffee for a while now and recently we are doing some bartering. Old time donuts says it all!

Downtown- Good morning from the Coast of Maine. If you are on Main(Elm) Street, and walk to the back of The Smiling Cow, you’ll find a balcony with an amazing view of Camden Harbor! Next door is Camden Deli with an upstairs balcony with tables, chairs, and umbrellas with a great view of the harbor. Come for breakfast, the coffee is amazing, and stay for lunch, Tom won’t mind! We love having our coffee served at Camden Deli.

The Big Three- Good morning from the Coast of Maine. Another Sunday coffee delivery in the rain. It had actually slowed down enough that It was more of a drizzle by the time I got onboard. We love having our coffee served on Windjammer Angelique, Schooner Lewis R. French, and Schooner Mary Day in Camden Harbor as well as Schooner Stephen Taber, Schooner Ladona, and Sail Grace Bailey in Rockland Harbor! All of these beauties are part of the Maine Windjammer Association and there is still several weeks of sailing before the season ends. I would not be surprised if there was a cabin or two available if you are interested! Trip of a lifetime.

How is everyone? I got an early start this morning in the roasting room, I’ll be happy if I can make everybody else happy by Wednesday! Maybe Thursday. One thing is certain, when your coffee is delivered, it is only a day or two out of the roaster for most of our roasts. I appreciate your patience when it takes a little longer than usual to get your coffee.

Downtown- Good morning from the Coast of Maine. I took this shot on Saturday morning just before downtown got busy. French & Brawn Marketplace one of the first to open with hot coffee and fresh baked goods ready to go!

Outer Harbor Sunrise- Good morning from the Coast of Maine. It was a crisp 50 degrees when I left the house this morning and barely a cloud in the sky. The overlook on Bay Road is truly a local treasure. Walking distance from downtown with a great view of the harbor. It was nice watching the sunrise this morning. I’m off to a rodeo with the family, always a fun time!
