My toxic trait as a photographer is saying
I can fix that in editing…
and then arguing with Photoshop for 2 hours.

🚨 UPDATE 🚨

We have already begun going through our photography page and removing previous posts and images where children’s faces are identifiable or exposed.

There are years of photos and posts to work through, so this will take some time, but please know we are actively working on it.

This decision isn’t being made out of fear or because we aren’t proud of the beautiful memories we’ve captured. It’s being made because the internet is changing, AI is changing, and protecting children has to change with it.

Going forward, you may still see photos that showcase our work involving children, but their faces will be hidden, turned away, cropped out, or otherwise unidentifiable.

No amount of advertising, engagement, or portfolio content is worth compromising a child’s privacy.

Their images deserve to remain memories — not content for someone else to misuse. 🤍

Thank you for understanding and supporting this decision as we work through our page and make these changes.

🚨 EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY 🚨

After a lot of thought, I’ve made the decision that I will no longer post identifiable photos of children on my photography page — even when I have a signed model release.

With AI advancing as quickly as it is, a photograph posted innocently online can potentially be taken, altered, manipulated, or used in ways that neither the photographer nor the parent ever intended.

Recent court decisions and the continued legal debate surrounding AI-generated exploitative material involving children have only strengthened how I feel about this.

I cannot control what happens to an image once it leaves my hands and is posted publicly — but I can control what I choose to put online.

As a photographer, I have always believed that being trusted with someone’s children is a privilege. Protecting their privacy and safety matters far more to me than having another photograph to post for advertising, engagement, or my portfolio.

Parents will still receive the beautiful images they hired me to create. They simply will not be publicly shared by me when their child can be identified.

If laws and technology are struggling to keep up with the ways AI can misuse a child’s likeness, then I’m choosing to be more cautious — not less.

Children’s safety will always come before content.
Privacy will always come before engagement.
And my clients will always come before my business. 🤍

After a lot of thought and reflection, I’ve made the difficult decision to step away from taking on portrait photography clients.

This wasn’t an easy choice because photography has given me so much more than beautiful images—it has given me the privilege of meeting incredible people, celebrating life’s biggest milestones, and preserving memories that families will cherish for years to come. To every client who trusted me with those moments, thank you. It has truly been an honor, and I will miss working with each of you more than words can express.

As much as I’ll miss the sessions, I’ve realized my heart is pulling me in a different direction. I’m choosing to focus on landscape and nature photography—a place where I can simply create for the love of it. No contracts to sign, no invoices to send, no deadlines to meet or payments to collect. Just me, my camera, and God’s beautiful creation. A chance to slow down, breathe, explore, and rediscover the joy that made me fall in love with photography in the first place.

This isn’t goodbye to photography—it’s simply a new chapter. One that feels peaceful, freeing, and deeply fulfilling.

Thank you to everyone who has supported me, encouraged me, and allowed me to be part of your story. I’ll forever be grateful for the memories we’ve created together, and I’m excited to see where this next adventure leads.

Here’s to chasing sunsets instead of schedules, mountain views instead of meeting times, and finding joy in the quiet places. ❤️
