Serving Kentucky & Keeping Kentucky Communities Safe With Year Round Daily Weather Updates & Coverage such as Weather Statements, Watches, Warnings, LIVE Storm Chasing & LIVE Weather Updates. We ARE NOT, BY ANY MEANS meteorologist first and foremost, but we do have to use some meteorology tools and sense because we care about our Kentucky Communities. South Central KY Storm Intercept was Established in 2013. We are made up of of the following:

You can expect to have plenty of time to prepare for any type of severe and winter weather, because we will make sure to give you to most accurate and up to date information, Before, During & After the storms. We will also have live streams while storm chasing the Bluegrass region.

Storm chasing is broadly defined as the deliberate pursuit of any severe weather phenomenon, regardless of motive, but most commonly for curiosity, adventure, scientific investigation, or for news or media coverage. A person who chases storms is known as a storm chaser (or "chaser" for short).

Good afternoon,

Temperatures will quickly warm on Tuesday into the 90s in the afternoon. Heat indices will be in the 100-105F range. These oppressive conditions will last through at least Thursday. A Heat Advisory has been issued for most of central Kentucky and southern Indiana.

* An extended period of unseasonably hot and mostly dry weather is
expected over the next 3-5 days. Take necessary heat precautions,
including limiting time outdoors and remaining hydrated.

* Low (10-30%) rain chances return late in the week into the

.KEY MESSAGES...

* Surface boundaries will bring a weakening, broken line of showers
and storms this evening. Severe threat is on the lower end with
strong to damaging winds being the main threat.

* A cold front arrives Thursday morning with 80-90% chance of
showers and a few storms possible. Fairly widespread rainfall
between .5" - 1" is expected with locally higher amounts over 1.5"
possible, especially along and north of I-64.

* This weekend is expected to remain active with off and on isolated
to scattered showers and storms.

...HEAT ADVISORY IS CANCELLED...

The threat has ended. The lowering sun angle, combined with
increasing clouds and storms moving into the area has led to lower
heat indices. Therefore, the Heat Advisory is cancelled.
