Erin & Ben’s wedding day was the most perfect way to start the season.

The energy throughout the entire day was absolutely magnetic. From the moment we arrived, you could feel the excitement, joy, and anticipation from every person there. Their family and friends showed up with so much love and support for these two, and it was impossible not to feel the impact of the incredible community they’ve built around them.

Erin and Ben’s story is one of growing up together, navigating life side by side through high school, college, and the demanding years of medical school. Through every season, every challenge, and every milestone, they continued choosing each other.

Watching them finally step into this next chapter surrounded by the people who have witnessed their journey was incredibly special. Every hug, every tear, every laugh, and every heartfelt glance carried years of memories and history behind it.

It was a day filled with so much joy, so much gratitude, and so much genuine love. The perfect reminder of what wedding days are truly about—not just celebrating where you’ve arrived, but honoring all the people and moments that helped get you there.

What a beautiful way to kick off our 2026 wedding season.

The best moments on a wedding day are almost always the unplanned ones. The ones that happen when I take a step back and simply observe what’s naturally unfolding in front of me.

Giving space in a timeline for people to just be, to laugh, to chat, to take a breath, to soak in the people around them. After all, that’s why we’re there.

To experience every moment as it happens.

Once Erin got her dress on, I stood at the top of the stairs waiting for her to walk down to see her girls. Instead, her dad stayed behind for just a second longer, completely in awe of his daughter after seeing her in her wedding dress for the first time.

No direction. No posing. Just a camera, and a moment exactly as it was. This is one of the moments that I quickly bring my camera up and hope that I got the angle and the frame right, and I was so thrilled at how it turned out.

I cannot wait to share more from this incredible wedding day so soon.

“Candid.”

That’s one of the first things couples tell me they want when it comes to their gallery and album.

They want to feel the moment again. To experience their day as it truly was and see all of the joy, excitement, tears, movement, and emotion when they look back on their images. They want to relive the realness of it all.

And honestly, that’s one of my favorite things to capture, but also one of the hardest.

Capturing candid moments comes with experience. It comes from understanding the flow of a wedding day, learning who a couple is, how their people love them, and anticipating the moments before they happen. Because so many of these moments exist for only a second, and you have to be ready for them.

Over the last 8 years, we’ve spent so much time shifting our focus away from staging “perfect” moments and instead creating space for you to simply be yourselves. To build trust, to understand how you want your day to feel, and then use our creative eye, along with the experience of documenting over 250 weddings, to tell your story honestly.

The result is a gallery and films filled with moments that feel alive. Images that let you relive your day over and over again, exactly as it felt.

Vows during the first look are always something special.

It’s just you and your soon-to-be spouse, a few cameras far back, and time.

Time to settle into what the day is really about. To say the things you’ve always wanted to say. To be fully present with each other before the beautiful chaos of the day unfolds.

Corinne & Garrett’s vows were so sweet and personal, rooted in the life they’ve built together and who they are as they come together.

Video has a way of preserving your love differently than photos can. It holds the audio. The pauses. The emotion in your voice. The movement and expressions that deserve to be heard, not just seen.

I always tell couples: I can take beautiful photos of these moments, but I can never give you that audio back.

That’s what makes wedding videography so special.

Crazy to say that we’re headed into our 8th season of weddings.

We’ve been reflecting a lot in the last few weeks about how the business has grown and we along with it. How this idea we had of being an exclusive photo/video team for weddings blossomed into a friendship and then eventually our love story.

That in the pursuit of planning our dream wedding it reframed the way we see and how we want to capture your wedding days.

That through a pandemic as a baby company we were able to blossom and grow our business into exactly what it is today. A space for couples who want to get married differently, who want the experience over the performance, who want to reflect on their legacy in a way that feels like them.

Individualized.
Raw.
Truth.

So as we prepare for our first wedding of the 2026 season next weekend, we are so grateful to everyone who trusted us, who shared their life with us, and who continue to follow along and support us doing this thing we love so much.

The relationship between a photographer and their subject is such a crucial part of the art that is created together.

It’s a symbiotic relationship between how we see you and how you feel in front of our camera that creates the space for vulnerability, freedom, and honesty. The space to express the true nature of how you love, how you experience, and how you move through this season of your life together.

That’s why wedding and engagement photos rooted in truth over perfection will always be my favorite. Not the perfectly staged moments, but the ones that actually felt like you.

And all of it begins with the relationship between photographer and client.

The vibes with Chloe & Garrett were beyond amazing from the very first video chat. We laughed so much, shed a few tears, and truly grasped how they wanted their story to be told, and how I wanted to capture it. Then we bonded even more over softball, where we’re from, and the fact that we each have a Winnie in our lives who mean the absolute world to us.

(My Winnie even got asked to tag along as my assistant/second shooter, and she absolutely did not disappoint. See if you can spot two of her photos in the slides 🥹)

The friendship we get to build over the next year is going to be so special, and I truly cannot WAIT to capture your wedding day.

Black & White has a way of taking you back.
To an intimate moment, a quiet minute, a different time in history. (Wait for the last image.)

It tells the story more subtly, more personally. Without distraction. Just feeling.

That final photograph is my Grampy and my mom in 1947,
the man who first placed a camera in my hands.
And it was taken on the very camera I now carry with me to wedding days.

Your legacy, captured through mine. 💞
