I spent part of today scouting a new location with my girls and decided to use them as my little models while I experimented with something I don’t normally gravitate toward — midday light.

A lot of photographers (myself included!) tend to steer clear of shooting in the middle of the day, but honestly… I had so much fun with it!

The light was completely different from what I’m used to, and I loved playing with the trees, shadows, and all the movement around us. I definitely have more experimenting to do, but I think I may have found a new appreciation for this kind of light.
