Happy Friday! Kara is one of my favorite seniors ever! I've known her since she was 3 and watched her grow up into the beautiful young woman she is now. She's spunky, funny, and has so much personality! Not only is she absolutely stunning, Kara's also humble, kind and notices people. She's the type of friend you want! Kara has gorgeous, melty, brown eyes and such an amazing smile. She also has the best serious, bored model expressions. It was so much fun to capture her spirit and make these memories with her and mom!

My disclaimer, before I get lectured by other photographers, is that the first location is a family favorite. The train tracks are right next to their grandparents' property, way out in the country! It's not frequently used, (so they say.) Probably why the grass is so high. Growing up, Kara's siblings and cousins played together on and around these train tracks. Kara wanted a few poses taken there because of the nostalgia. That's what senior portraits are all about. Mom was with me the whole time:). She approved of the danger;). I photographed Kara's older cousin Ellie House, 11 years ago at the same location for the same reasons. That sure dates me, LOL.

It's a dilemma to select just a few poses to share.

Twins!! Senior portraits are so exciting for the seniors, especially for this mama, Valentina! Avary and Addison were born at 29 weeks, weighing 3lbs each. They've made it to their Senior year, which shows how far they've come. They're miracle babies! Valentina wanted a pose holding their NICU pictures. Avary is totally into theater, drama and acting. Her poses were artistic and more on the moody side. Addison is a trumpet player and has his own cool, musician vibe. It was so fun to capture them in their unique styles. It was a beautiful thing to see how close they were to each other and their younger brother. I love capturing family bonds.

Oh my goodness, how I loved this session!!! Olivia, you are the best! Olivia is absolutely gorgeous and poses so easily. She’s confident, comfortable in her own skin, smiles beautifully but also has some serious model expressions. We ran into some ducky admirers 😂 which made it even more fun. The skies were blue, the sun shining and conditions were perfect 👌. This location was her dream and I’m so glad we were able to make it happen. I’ve photographed her 2 older siblings and it was finally her turn, yay 👏👏. And we got to do something completely different. What an honor it was to go on this adventure with you and capture your cute personality 🫶. Putting in the effort pays off. May you have the BEST senior year ever!

Portraits of motherhood. Charlotte, this beautiful mother, allowed me to take this image before rushing off to the hospital. She allowed me to take a couple images. Her water had broken and they were kind of in whirlwind of emotions. Normally, we don’t plan on taking maternity photos the day of, however this was a special case;). I feel that pregnancy is sacred. The mother helped create another human being and carried it for 9 months. That is so profound and so beautiful.
