My last job was near Meldrum Bar Park, decided to go take a few pictures of the Willamette River. Then I followed the road to Dahl Beach. An eagle flew by me and landed in a tree across the Clackamas river and landed in a tree in Clackamette Park. After getting a a few long distance photos of the Golden Eagle I took a chance & drove over to Clackamette Park to see if I could get some close up pictures. The drive paid off and the eagle was still perched in the tree. I was the closest I have ever gotten to a bird of prey. I was about 25 feet away from the eagle.

Spotted this guy just South of Willamette Falls.

On my way home from work caught site of the moon rising from Mt. Hood. View is from Willamette Falls Dr. in West Linn.

I might try and get the full moon tonight and get there early enough to get it when it first comes out from behind the mountain.

I have noticed that crows will harass Birds of Prey. I caught a few photos of this event yesterday.

I finally decided to look up why a crow would take on such a challenge. Turns out there are a couple of reasons. First they are protecting a near by nest babies. the other is a shared territory for food. With that information i looked closely at my photos and realized the Hawk is clutching a rat in the left talons.

I took these from the North bound exit ramp from 205 onto Division St.

Stopped at PGE sub station on Knights Bridge Road where there is an osprey nest, to my surprise the birds I saw flying around are vultures. Followed them down Barlow Road and found about 8 vultures just hanging out on Fawver Road.

As many know an Osprey nest is located near the Oregon City Arch bridge next to the Willamette River. heren are a few photos of the family.

I did not see that there where two baby birds next to each other until I got the photos onto the computer. Three babies and one adult.

The Eagle in the nest is in Wilsonville and I took the picture from the opposite side of the Willamette river in Canby off of Hwy 99. The Eagle in the tree maybe the same Eagle, I took it a different day at Hwy 99 and South Ends Road.

Osprey taken at many different locations.

Threw in a couple man made birds.

I have never noticed the face in the daytime moon before. About 4pm today.

I love the daytime moon in the blue sky. It almost feels half transparent the way it fades into the blue.
