Happy Mother’s Day to every mom out there, and especially to mine. This year, my mom lost her own mom, my Nana, and this is the first Mother’s Day where we can’t call her. Even in absence, love lingers. Despite all life’s ups and downs, my mom has always been there to lift me up when I’ve stumbled. Today I celebrate her resilience, her strength, and all that she is.

P.S. Fingers crossed that this might be my last Mother’s Day not being a mom myself.

🤍Your last baby—the perfect final chapter to your family story.🤍

If you asked me to pick my favorite photo from this session… I genuinely don’t think I could 🥹 Every single image feels special. These kiddos were so incredibly sweet and funny, and knowing while I was taking these photos that I’d soon have the honor of capturing their baby’s birth made this session even more meaningful.

Watching these two parent their kids with so much love and patience was an absolute joy to witness. And with everything going on in the world, it felt especially wonderful that Dad was home and able to be part of these memories and photos with his family 🤍

And Mom?! Absolutely stunning. Photographing her is such a joy every single time ✨

Golden hour, a little rain, and a senior session I’ll never forget. ✨

Mira’s session almost didn’t happen. We had to reschedule again and again because it rained all week, and we only had a couple of days left before I packed up and moved down to New Mexico. But somehow, the timing worked out perfectly.

Towards the end of our session, while the sun was still shining, it started sprinkling. The kind of light rain that makes everything feel a little magical. We leaned into it and ended up capturing some of the coolest photos in the rain.

Senior year goes by so fast, and I’m so grateful Mira trusted me to capture this season of her life. What a way to remember it. 🤍

There is something incredibly special about Fresh 48 sessions 🤍
These moments happen in the quiet blur right after your baby arrives. The tiny fingers, the wrinkly toes, the way they curl perfectly into your arms, and the overwhelming love that fills the room. It’s the beginning of your story together, captured exactly as it is.
Fresh 48 sessions take place within the first 48 hours after birth, while you’re still soaking in those first moments of meeting your little one. No posing, no pressure, just real memories, raw emotion, and the sweetest little details you’ll never want to forget.
These sessions are some of my absolute favorites because they preserve the magic of the very beginning. ✨

I still can’t get over just how beautiful Nicole Colbert was during this session 🤍
Even though it was so cold, we powered through and made it through with all smiles from my tiniest bestie. Moments like these always make braving the chilly weather completely worth it.
Here’s the funny part of this story… Nicole forgot to reach out about scheduling her maternity session, so we ended up photographing these at 38 weeks. Honestly, pregnancy brain is a completely valid excuse. 😂
We captured this session and then… ONE WEEK LATER baby decided it was time for their birthday party! Thank goodness we squeezed these in when we did because the timing could not have been more perfect. ✨

“I’m not really expecting much from my toddler — she’s never smiled during a photo shoot before.”
Well… challenge accepted. 💁🏼‍♀️✨
Miss Girl definitely brought the sass when we started. I got the full side-eye, the serious stare, the tiny crossed arms energy. But we took our time. We played. We let her lead.
And by the end? Smiles. Giggles. Real, belly-deep happiness. 🥹
There is nothing better than watching that shift happen right in front of my lens. Those earned smiles feel like gold.
I am SO happy with how these turned out! Honestly? I always love the challenge of working with toddlers. They keep me on my toes, make me work for it… and that’s exactly why they’re my favorite age to photograph. ✨

This senior session was beyond a dream. I truly could not have had more fun capturing this incredible young man. From start to finish, it was one of those shoots that just clicked. His Aunts gifted him this session as a present, and while he started hesitantly, by the end he was full on modeling!
Personally, this one meant a lot because this shoot feels so much like the heart of New Mexico. It was fun, relaxed, and completely embodied the true vibe of New Mexico with wide open skies, rugged charm, and that quiet confidence that feels like the West.
He has such a bright future ahead of him, especially in the way he’s drawn to helping others. That kind of heart and purpose is going to take him far.
So grateful I got to document this season for him. Senior year looks good out here. 🌄✨
