I don't even know how to start this first post back after a bit of a social media hiatus. I've still been here in the background, but mostly just for my side job for the restaurant. I've still taken on a few sessions, just haven't posted anything yet.

So, here's to Nicole and Seth at their Engagement Session (that we had to reschedule multiple times because of those unbelievable Spring storms.. worth the wait, though!!) I am so excited for their wedding next month, it's going to be such a beautiful day!

I'm telling y'all I've been terrible about
posting right after the session or wedding!! 😅

Brittany wasn't interested in a ton of detail shots,
she wanted the focus to be on the family!
So I snagged a couple details that I just couldn't pass up,
like her sweet tattoo for Tony,
but I just candidly documented their big day
and those they hand picked to share it with!

When you inquire with me about your Cap & Gown Session don't forget to ask about group rates so that you and a friend or 2 can have some final high school (or college) memories documented forever! And I would love to snag a few shots of a parent or sibling, too! AND I am always down to include your friendly pup! (location permitting)

Another thing to note, is that you aren't required to take these photos at your school! If you want to check out a different location that fits your personality or future academic goals better, let's go there!

This post ALMOST didn't happen today 😅

I'm still learning different Photoshop skills
and a very important few were used to make this collage
as well as tweak a few of these 4 year old photos!

But I fought with it enough
and won!! haha

So, in honor of my sister's birthday tomorrow
and her being one of my biggest supporters
and subjects!
Here's a throwback to one of my earliest sessions,
her Maternity Photos with my nephew
that she almost didn't let happen
AND he arrived very early,
3 days later...
so we wouldn't have been able to attempt again!

It was a beautiful, bright fall day
between the vines.

I love capturing authentic family sessions!

My approach to any family session
is to make sure I capture those
"wall hangers" for my clients,
but ultimately I want to snag those little moments.
I want to be more candid and sneak snapshots
of the littles being kiddos,
being their curious, spunky, or shy selves!
Their features and personalities change
SO MUCH, SO FAST
and I want to document this
fleeting moment for your family
to cherish forever!

I have been known to bribe a group of
6 kiddos with gummy worms and bears
(don't worry asked the bride in charge!)
to gain those important to the adults
Family Formals! haha

For the Kenny Family session
with Little Miss here,
letting her have her doll at the beginning,
pluck a few flower petals during,
and saving the day with
a cartoon band aid
for scrape after a little trip
was enough to keep a toddler meltdown
from fully taking over!

Creatively capturing the details AND the moments
is kind of a super power ✨

Since it's Shayna and Sameer's Anniversary
here's a few tender moments from the
surprise proposal Sameer planned for Shayna
WITHOUT HER CATCHING ON!
I'm still not sure how she didn't figure it out sooner!
Between Vishwa being in charge of making sure Shayna looked stunning,
and me having my camera "just to practice!" 😅
Shayna's surprise proposal was perfect
surrounded by the closest friends and family!

Summer weddings in Georgia are HARD WORK! 🥵

Everyone has fight the heat, humidity, and those infamous
POP UP THUNDERSTORMS!! ⛈️
We had a main plan and a back up plan, just in case! But thankfully, the storm waited until the very end as I was loading my gear back in the car!

Another struggle is that stellar neon green of Georgia foliage in the summer 😅
Looking back at this intimate wedding, I cringe because I've learned since then how to combat it a little better (I think) but then I look deeper at these images, and I'm proud of the moments I captured for this couple and their wonderful family!

Two years later, and I still think about this micro wedding and the overflow of love for Barb & William from each and every individual present!
