The Hershbergers keep coming back, and every time they do, the kids are a little taller, the family a little more complete, and somehow it still feels exactly like them.

That’s the thing about families that let you in year after year. You stop being their photographer and start being a small thread in the story they’re writing together.

They met at the gym. She was bold and didn’t try to be anything else. He was steady and had her back from the start.

A few years later, here we are.

Emma grew up coming to this farm.

Her grandparents’ land, tucked into the Northeast Ohio hills with a pond that reflects everything and an old red barn that’s been standing longer than most of us have been around.

She has years of memories here before Zach ever entered the picture.

Now he’s in all the new ones.

We ran around this property for hours and what I kept noticing was how much they just liked being together. Not performing it, just living it. Spinning her in the field. Sitting on the old equipment by the water. Running through the grass laughing like nobody was watching, even though I absolutely was.

Next June they get married on this same land. Same hills, same barn, same pond. Different chapter.

I already know it’s going to be something. 🫶🏼

Corynn and Jack’s people have known them since the dorm room days, and it showed.

Inside jokes, happy tears, the kind of belly laughs that make your mascara run before you even make it to the aisle. From the moment I walked into Parker Barn, it was impossible not to feel it. A stranger could have wandered in off the farm and known instantly that something really good was happening here.

And that setting. Parker Barn in Copley sits on over 80 acres of working farmland. Cows, horses, donkeys, sheep, and somewhere in the distance, the kind of sunset that makes you stop and just breathe for a second. That wooden arch backdropped by the pond, surrounded by the people who have loved these two the longest, it was a lot.

Corynn in that tiered white dress. Jack in hunter green. The whole bridal party radiating “we have been waiting for this day.”

When they walked back down that aisle, arms raised, confetti flying, the whole place erupted. Because that’s what happens when the right two people finally make it official in front of everyone who knew it first.

She said yes to a wedding. Then she said yes to forever. And then she said yes to a baby boy. 🤍

Maria + Kyle, I had the honor of photographing their wedding last June and now, just weeks away from meeting their little one, they trusted me to capture this season too. That kind of trust means everything.

When Maria reached out asking about maternity photos, I may have used it as an excuse to debut my brand new greenhouse. She said yes immediately, and I’m so glad she did.

We spent the evening taking pretty photos, soaking in that golden hour light, and talking all things birth. One of my absolute favorite topics. Advocating for a mother-centered birth experience is something close to my heart, and getting to pour into mamas during this season is such a gift.

Oh, and Baby Schucker is already at the center of a serious jersey debate. Pirates vs. Cleveland. Kyle vs. Maria. Thankfully it’s NL vs. AL! Can we hope for a World Series match up someday?? ⚾

My first ever session at Tam O’Shanter Park and I’m not sure if it was the new location, Grace + Dan (and their sweet little girl!!), the light, or the exhaustion of May…but GOODNESS!!!

I. Am. In. LOVEEEE 😍😍😍😍

These two drove over two hours and agreed to me my guinea pigs at a local spot I’ve never been to before.

Safe to say, they knocked it out of the park with their laughs, piggy backs rides, and sunset snuggles! 🤍

Some couples bring details that stop you in your tracks. For Eliina and Ian, it was a little goose figurine — and if you know, you know. The things couples choose to carry with them on their wedding day say everything about who they are, and this one said it perfectly.

This day was full of that kind of intention. The private vows before the ceremony. The way he looked at her during the first look. The moment he lifted her right off her feet in the aisle. It was the kind of wedding that reminds you why this work matters.

This wedding was never just about a ceremony.
It was about family.

Denise and Dan didn’t just get married at Himelright Lodge in Akron, Ohio. They brought two families together and honored every part of the life that led them here. Denise’s seven children. Dan’s two. Three daughters in law. Two grandbabies. All standing beside them, not just watching the day unfold, but part of it.

From the very beginning, it was clear what mattered most to them. This wasn’t about trends or tradition for tradition’s sake. It was about legacy. About choosing each other while choosing the family they were building together. The children weren’t just guests, they were the bridal party. Front and center. Exactly where they belonged.

There was so much quiet pride woven into this day. Tight hugs. Knowing smiles. Generations in the same frame. A wedding that felt steady, grounded, and deeply meaningful. The kind of celebration where you can feel the history behind it and the future ahead of it at the same time.

Denise and Dan’s wedding was a reminder that love doesn’t replace what came before it. It expands it. And when family is at the heart of the day, everything else falls beautifully into place.
