when you are comfortable the real moments just show up

When we planned for this shoot we didn't talk about getting in the water but as soon as Debbie and Alex got there she told me they would be down and it was game over. I really appreciate gaining trust with my clients when it comes to stuff that is out of the normal or doesn't feel like the standard stand there and smile. I enjoy the process of telling a story and feeling the moment when you look at an image. It's my favorite form of art

I really enjoyed this elopement and capturing these two. When Emy reached out to me she said it would just be us and the officiant. When I tell you it was so special. You don't just have to say your I do's and then part ways.

You can literally do ANYTHING your heart desires, cut cake, pop champagne, go get a tattoo. I will gladly document every moment that means something to you especially if it's not traditional and goes against the grain.

They tied the knot surrounded by their closest family and their sweet kids. After we were done at the courthouse right across the street I saw this flower field and timing was on our side when I realized we were right by the take off of a small airport.

Your event doesn't have to be big or extravagant to be special. I love elopements so much.

It's not about what's less, it's about more of what matters to you.

The day started off with a nuptial mass at the St. James Catholic church and ended with karaoke, a food truck, and the best vibes!! These two were so great to work with and very intentional with the experience they planned for their guests. They even had professional wedding crashers (will share that in a separate post)

I really enjoyed working this wedding and often hear questions like if I am familiar working catholic ceremonies and the answer is YES! A lot of churches do have different rules and regulations when it comes to photo and video services during ceremony however this priest was AMAZING and invited me up to the front when they were taking communion to get those intimate and sacramental shots.

Fall and next spring are booking fast I still have some dates left for wedding, microwedding, or event service photography

Paige contacted me and told me they wanted their downtown Austin elopement captured in a modern way.

While we were waiting on the judge Paige and Bob shared with me how they met. They worked in the same skyrise building for years in another state and crossed paths everyday. They raised children , went through life changes, and moved across the country to Texas. This time they were in a different chapter and they met on Match.

I truly believe in the invisible string theory and that we will cross paths with those until divine timing finally allows something really beautiful.

Their love for each other made it easy for me to do my job. Congratulations to these two!!

Not your normal announcement post but let's be real for a second. While your wedding day is always meant to be a celebration of love and partying the real grit is in the vows. Through sickness and health...The good and the bad..

Leading up to Keyla and Bri's wedding I let her know I was two weeks post op and had a STRONG SECOND (could not have done it without her) I was prepared, rested, bought a spider holster just for the event. The wedding went beautifully and it is evident the amount of love these women have poured out because it surrounds them. Their demeanor and heart shined through in all of the people that showed up and showed out for them.

Now this is where it gets different and that thing I called LIFE hits.. We never expect things to happen and they just do and we just have to trust the timing. Shortly after the wedding Bri had to go into emergency surgery and get a hip replacement being out of work wasn't in the bingo cards right after the wedding but again LIFE. She will have to get another replacement after she heals from this surgery. I've known Keyla for awhile but meeting Bri I knew they had it. They have the love to foster a BEAUTIFUL and fulfilling life ahead of them with their family and 4 kids. I can't wait to watch the comeback after this!! Also please check out Briana Adams Music I had NO IDEA and was blown away at the song she made just for her daddy.

They will be having an event to celebrate their marriage and benefit to help the family while they navigate these new waters ahead. They will be having an open mic, BBQ plates, live auctions, and great talent.
