She’s baaaaack! After a lot of thought and prayer, Jayda decided to take her sophomore year off of cheer and though I was a little sad, and nervous about the decision (would she regret it? would she return?!) I understood this was *her* life, not mine. Now, looking back at that choice I can see that it was absolutely the right one. I went to her games the last two weeks and I couldn’t believe the huge smile on her face. Genuine joy. She looked at me and mouthed “I’m having fun” and my mama heart felt so much gratitude. I think if we focus our energy on things that bring the light out in us, we can all make the world a little brighter. Happy to see her shining her light on Friday nights!

It may not be California or Florida, but the Texas coast has a vibe of its own. And considering we’ve lived here 18 years, it was time for us to make a trip. The kids added “go to the beach” on our summer bucket list and the last week of summer break we finally made it happen. I’m trying not to regret the fact that we didn’t do this sooner. That we only have one more summer with all 3 of our kiddos under our roof. I’m collecting as many memories and moments of joy as I can from this season of life. So better late than never on this beach trip. Next summer we will remember beach chairs 😆

A month late, but she reached 16 against all odds 🌊✨

Finally sharing a few favorites from Jayda’s Seaside at Sixteen birthday. She always has an aesthetic vision for her birthday and she always nails it. She’s not only beautiful on the outside but even more so on the inside. A wonderful daughter, sister and friend. So lucky to celebrate her last month, today, and always! 🩵

Seeing friends could technically be my top spot but I mean… this is D23 weekend. After a major bout of FOMO two years ago I had to come back. I had a wishlist of things I hoped would be announced and only one came true (I think more announcements are dropping throughout the year vs at these events). Though I can’t say it topped how amazing 2022 was, it was so much fun and there were some very memorable moments. I’m ranking my top 10!

Note: The entire entertainment showcase could dominate my entire list. I wasn’t excited about Frozen III but the clip they showed has my interest peaked. The Percy Jackson moment was epic, and more… So I had to combine some of those 😂.
