Nothing feels more soothing to my artist soul than being out in nature capturing the female form. In those moments everything just aligns. The wildness of the elements, the strength and magic of her, all of it perfectly in sync. We are both creating and it’s just beautiful. And those photos are always my personal favorites too.

I think about this every year. I’ve been doing this over a decade and some of the babies I took photos of are teenagers now. I am where I am today because of clients like that. Who trusted me then and still do. They have watched me grow and I’ve watched them grow too. It’s such a special bond and I don’t say thank you enough. Especially on mini days when I am so rushed but just know, I look forward to seeing you every year. And when your babe pops up on my schedule it always makes me smile. 🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻

Sometimes I take a photo and I feel very connected to who I’ve always been ad an artist. Like I know college me would have taken the exact same photo and loved it just as much. Sometimes a photo shoot feels magical while it’s happening. Maybe it’s the way the light hits someone’s face, maybe it’s the colors that fill the sky, maybe it’s a baby giggle, or the sand in your toes… it was a joyful sensory experience. Sometimes the photos show that, sometimes they don’t. Either way it’s ok. It was lived and it was beautiful. But if you’re lucky, you get that experience and beautiful photos too. The session felt like that for me. ✨
