Heya,

I wanted to check in real quick and give a mass update, rather than spending hours sending individual messages.

The heart, soul and glue of my family has been put on hospice as of last week. Right now everything is kind of up in the air. Which also puts my schedule and editing queue up in air also. For right now I’m still keeping up and everything is the same, but that could change.

I have a lot of unread messages and emails I’m working on getting back to, just asking for a little bit of grace as we navigate what’s next.

Now for some happiness with this gorgeous momma 🧡🧡🧡

One of the coolest things about being a photographer is some clients turn into really cool friends ✨

If you’ve followed me for me for a minute, you’ve seen these beautiful faces a time or two. I’ve been photographing Monique Bustamante since the very beginning of my photography journey when she was having her first baby and every maternity session since and lots of mini sessions in between. I’m forever grateful for this gem for choosing me to capture these big moments in her life 🧡

Swinging back into those motherhood sessions cause I don’t know where to start ✨

This little dude may have been the happiest guy I met in long a time, and the happiness is contagious cause how can you not look at those chubby cheeks and not smile.

Little side note when a client books a session with littles. I know the one of the biggest worries is, “how am I going to keep the little ones happy without toys”. The answer is simple, just bring them! Why not have these memories include the very thing that makes your kids happy? It’s a win,win ☺️

Every once in awhile (like once a year), I get locked out of my account. It’s like a Facebook tradition at this point. I’m just grateful that it happened while I was to busy to stress about it ✨

But now I’m more like 8 months behind in posting sessions and I truly have the memory of gold fish. So I’ll be playing catchup for the next century, probably.

Reason number one, cause they put up with me and reason two because I know we’re going on an adventure every time they book a session. It’s a win win for me.

Whew guys I feel like I’ve been playing catch up for two years straight and not getting anywhere. I don’t know if it’s a me thing or if all photographers get to the point where being caught up doesn’t exist 🤣 Life would definitely be easier if I could get my messenger to work consistently. “some memories, can’t be replaced”
Toy Story ✨

This is one of those sessions where everything was perfect. Perfect weather, perfect lighting, perfect model (literally was just there to take photos) she could have easily posed herself she was that good.

Updates! I have added some extra dates for the next few months. Yay!
The weather has been a little difficult to navigate it’s been either 105+ or pouring rain, so I do want to try and keep extra dates open for rescheduling. I also have the studio if needed.

I’ll be rolling out some creative mini sessions very soon.

First, thank you all so much for nominating me for Best Photographer in Carlsbad. I am so incredibly grateful for every client who has trusted me with their memories, especially when our town is packed with ridiculously talented photographers.

With that said, I have decided to forfeit my nomination.

As many of you know, my friend and fellow photographer passed away a few months ago. While looking at my email, I realized there was a much better use for my nomination than letting my competitive side enjoy it for five minutes.

Even mini sessions bring the sweetest moments ✨

Not gonna lie my only goal with my motherhood minis is get a few cuddles. So when I get a family who is naturally cuddly, I fully take advantage. This is where I am able to step back and follow the lead of how your family naturally interacts with each other and when I am really able to get those emotive / storytelling moments that I’m known for. Please peep that last photo for the real story telling behind the session.

You know sometimes being the bad guy is actually really fun ✨

I mean who else can say they got to do their dream job and play cops and robbers with the coolest mom and son duo??? Also this was 100% mom’s idea and I genuinely can’t tell you guys enough how much I love when yall want to do something different or just simply bring in something that you and fits your vibe.

I am not done posting sessions from last year because I found a whole second folder of sessions I forgot about. Which really shows my brain isn’t functioning properly. Somehow taking January off put me behind 6 months 🥴 As long as I’m not behind I’m editing I’m good right?
