A day late, but that feels fitting for my 2025. Before fully stepping into the new year, I wanted to pause and honor the one behind me.

And gosh what a year! It felt like a blur and a lifetime all together, and I imagine many of you felt the same. And reflecting back as I scrolled through each session of 2025, so much of the beauty lives in the in-between…the moments I always say I love most, the ones that happen between the posed photos. The most beautiful things in life are often quiet, tender, and deeply human, even when life feels hard or chaotic.

I’m endlessly grateful for this small space where I get to hold and tell the stories of families who trust me with their memories. Thank you for inviting me in, for sharing your seasons with me, and for allowing me to do what I love most.

As we step into 2026, whatever it may hold, may we keep our eyes open for beauty in all of it. 🤍 Happy New Year!

Big boy… soon to be big brother 💙
It’s such an honor to capture these in between moments, the season where your baby is growing, and the little hands you’ve held for years will soon be joined by another tiny pair.

I’ve always believed one of the greatest gifts we can give our children is a sibling. But even with that joy, change has a way of tugging at a mama’s heart, the bittersweet shift as her first baby steps into something new.

You’re going to be amazing at this big brother gig, little Jack. And your mama’s heart? Somehow it will stretch and multiply, making room for more love than she ever imagined for the both of you. 🤍🤍

Life doesn’t always fit in curated little squares, and the last few months our family has been going through that.

On 9/17 my brother, Matt Murrell was diagnosed with stage 4 squamous cell carcinoma. After all kinds of tests, appointments and scans, he started treatment with immunotherapy. Last week he learned the tumor wasn’t responding as quickly as we all hoped it would.

On 10/30 he started the next step of the journey with chemo. It’s going to be a long road ahead, but through it all God has been so present, and Matthew and his wife Sydney have felt God’s covering of faith and grace in this trial.

Sharing his Go Fund Me page so friends can follow along his journey. He is an athlete and young father of 3, so part of his video journaling on You Tube (link in the Go Fund Me page) is to share how this journey will affect his long term health (I didn’t happen to get the genes to run ultra-marathons and 100 milers like he did 😂).

We are standing in faith that God will bring him complete healing! Thank you so much for taking the time to read, and for those that have supported the Murrell family in any way, our families are beyond grateful. 🤍

Probably more nostalgic for us parents than exciting for the kids 😂 — but between pizza and skateboards, We didn’t have (too much) complaining. 🍕🛹
