One of the highlights of 2025 was getting to spend time with watching him create for .projects using salvaged wood from the LA area. His work is an exercise in deduction and letting the pieces come out of the wood he’s working with. That said, being present and in the moment is critical to what he does, and I’m grateful for that reminder and to get to see these quiet moments in action. It’s been like a gift for me to visit artists in their work spaces for the UNFOLD artist series. Here’s a few from a recent with who was kind enough to show us what he’s been working on. Steve has been using scraps of wood, copper, recycled paint, electrical parts and more to create amazing pieces for the Unfold Encinitas house. It’s been a couple years since I last offered up a card set for the holidays, so here we go! This 5 photographs are from a few travels this last year or so to Mexico, Yucca Valley, CA, Texas, Catalina, and Hwy 395 in the Sierra Mountains. The 4x6 photos are printed locally and mounted on a 5x7 card. Each card w/ envelope is wrapped in a reusable poly bag. $35 for this 5 card set includes shipping to US addresses only.
