Marty Cohen Photography

Marty Cohen Photography It’s my nature to see detail, sometimes before I see the wider scene. I love capturing what I see, interpreting it and sharing it.

Photography as an art form provides tools for me to be creative and I love sharing my photos with others.

Today we said goodbye to our beloved Suki. She was a rescue from Monterey Bay Lab Rescue and we adopted her at age 7 about 8 years ago. She was the sweetest dog and we always felt lucky to have her. She made it to age 15 1/2. Rest, knowing you were loved. Photo: Favorite Toy, Adoption August, 2017

I am honored and happy to announce that my image, “Contemplation” has been selected by juror Henry Horenstein to be one of 39 photographs in the exhibition, “Monochrome” to hang in the PhotoPlace Gallery in Middlebury, Vermont from February 2 - February 23, 2024.

As many of you might already know, “Contemplation” is one of my favorite images. The subject is Mohammad, our guide in Fes, Morocco in 2013. He was a very thoughtful and knowledgeable person. I loved the two beautiful rings on his hands and he was happy to allow me to photograph them.

The images in the exhibition are currently online at this link:
