This week, Monterey reminded me that beauty doesn’t always announce itself. Sometimes it’s found in footprints that disappear with the tide, pelicans gliding effortlessly above the waves, the peaceful rhythm of an early morning golf course, or simply sitting still long enough to hear the ocean breathe.

These aren’t the big tourist moments.
They’re the little ones that stay with you.

What a wonderful surprise today…

I’ve been to Moss Landing countless times, but today I discovered a place I’d somehow never explored.

A peaceful walk through Salinas River State Beach winds through beautiful dunes before reaching the shoreline. Along the way, every turn offered a different perspective of the iconic Moss Landing towers, framed by native grasses, winding trails, and endless skies.

It’s a reminder that even in places we think we know, there’s always another path waiting to be discovered.

Sometimes the best adventures aren’t found far from home—they’re simply on the trail you’ve never taken before.

🦦 Wildlife Wednesday 🐦🦭

One of the things I love most about exploring Monterey is that you never know who will make you stop and smile.

One moment it’s a sea otter peacefully floating through the kelp. The next, a pelican gliding effortlessly above the waves. Then a curious sea lion looking straight into the camera with an expression that could make anyone laugh.

Every walk brings a new encounter, a new surprise, and another reminder that we’re sharing this incredible coastline with some amazing wildlife.

These are the moments that keep me coming back—camera in hand, always wondering what I’ll discover next.
