I take family portraits, too.
Back during my wedding heyday, I was very fortunate to also have a thriving family portrait business.
I had a number of families that I worked with, year after year.
It was always such a joy to be welcomed back into their worlds and see the many changes that occurred throughout the previous months.
How much the kids had grown, how their vocabularies had exploded, how they went from wobbly babies to screaming-fast toddlers, seemingly over-night.
Watching their families grow, not only in size but in the strong bonds they had with one another, is something I am still so grateful to have been able to witness, and document.
I really love capturing the story of families.
And, for me, a family isn’t only parents with children.
Families are who you choose to call family: friends, cousins, aunts, your partner, your furbabies.
If there’s love there, that’s family.
I was so thrilled when reached out to me to see if I’d be able to take some images of she, her husband and their new little one.
One thing some of my families had said to me over the years was how fast it all goes.
So I’m hoping these images are a lovely reminder of this moment in time for this mommy, daddy, and baby boy!
