I am not a wedding photographer, but my cousin got married and asked if I could get a couple shots from the cocktail hour while they were doing portraits.

My daughter was the first one on the dance floor and I got this lovely shot of her being twirled by the singer who was performing. It's moments like these that I find it hard to believe I helped create something so fierce, beautiful, and unapologetically herself. I am in awe of this photo, not because it's perfect, but because I can easily relive this moment of pride and happiness. It feels like such a gift to be able to have that.

My goal as a family photographer is to give this gift to other parents who are also clinging onto these moments. People who never want to forget, not just how their children looked, but how they made them feel.
