Have you ever felt scared about doing something new? Sometimes the scared feeling is just a little uncomfortable, and it's good to push through it. But it's still hard, right?

Recently, I felt really nervous about being interviewed for a magazine. I am not the best when it comes to talking about myself or accepting recognition in any way. I struggle when I get questions like 'what sets you apart' or 'what do you think makes you different than other photographers'. It's so hard for me to answer those questions because there are so many amazing photographers out there! So this interview was nerve wracking to say the least lol. A few days beforehand I wrote out my affirmations on sticky notes and stuck them around my desk to remind me that I am worthy and to just be myself. (I know, cheesy) but I sometimes need that reminder that I am lovable just the way I am! I don't need to impress anyone or pretend to be anything other than who I am and you know what!? It turned out amazing!

Gosh, that felt a little bit vulnerable to share that! I know that a lot of my clients may feel a little nervous about coming in for a photo session with me, so I wanted to be honest and let you know that some nerves are ok (and normal!)

Bottom line: I'm so glad I went for it, and didn't let my fears or hesitations hold me back. And that is exactly what I hope for you.
