Crazy what can change in 7 years!

I’m the absolute PROOF that everyone starts somewhere! 7 years ago I knew very little about photography except what my grandad had shown me.

One thing I learned very quickly was the importance of turning “auto” mode off so I could be the one deciding what my photos should look like. Once I mastered that (by watching way too many useless videos online and a lot of trial and error) my photography started improving with every single session!

I know how hard it is to find good information online, so I packaged up everything that I learned since I started and make a no-fluff guide to teach you everything you need to know!

Hi friends! I’m Alecia, owner of Alecia Mathis Photo. I’ve been a full time photographer for 5 years, but my love for photography started when I was a little girl.

My grandad always had a camera either in my hand or pointed at me and inspired me to be the photographer I am today. He passed away not long after I started my business, but I hope to continue his legacy by teaching everything that I know to anyone who wants to learn.

Whether you’re an established photographer, a newbie who just picked up a camera, or even just a mom with a phone camera, I hope I can encourage you to preserve a memory through photography today 🫶🏼
