Midgets at SIR never disappoint! It was an incredible night start to finish and was definitely one of best races I’ve seen this year!

It was almost impossible to narrow down my favorites but somehow managed to! The full collection won’t be posted for a week or so, so in the meantime enjoy these hand picked moments!

5/28/2026 - Thrillbillies win on back to back days taking down the Decatur Bean Ballers 9-5! Billies record back to back days with double digit hits as they wrap up their first home stand of the season! Thursday marked the first bottomless draft beer ticket upgrade promotion! Every Thursday, Friday, and Saturday home game pair your $12 all you can eat ticket with an $18 arm band for BOTTOMLESS BEER!

Here’s my favorites from Thursdays actions! The Thrillbillies will be back at home Tuesday June 2nd and welcome to O’Fallon Hoots! First pitch slated for 7pm while gates open at 6pm!

05/27/2026 - Game 2 Thrillbillies get its first win of the 2026 campaign with an 8-3 contest over the O’Fallon Hoots! Billies score 8 runs off 10 hits and capitalize on 1 Hoots error and ride a masterclass pitching performance from Starter Trent Roehler who finished with a stat line of 5 IP, 3 H, 2 R, 2 RR, 1 BB, 4 Ks enroute to picking up his 1st win of the season!

Opening day marks day 1 of my summer internship with the Thrillville Thrillbillies! While the weather made the night borderline miserable and a Billies loss I still am so excited for the rest of this summer! Here’s some of my favorite captures from Tuesdays opening day Vs. the Terre Haute Rex

Today we pause to remember and honor the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country and our freedom. Their courage, selflessness, and dedication will never be forgotten.

As we spend time with family and friends this Memorial Day, let us take a moment to reflect on those who gave everything so we could enjoy the freedoms we often take for granted.

As the 2025-2026 IHSA season begins to wind down with most spring sports entering their postseason schedules, I just want to take a moment to say thank you. This school year and sports season has truly been one for the ages. From walk-offs and championship moments to senior nights, rivalries, celebrations, and unforgettable memories — it has been an incredible journey to capture and share it all.

To every athlete, coach, parent, school, and supporter who trusted Southern Focus to tell these stories and preserve these moments: thank you. Your support means more than you know, and I’m incredibly grateful to be welcomed onto the sidelines and behind the scenes to document these memories.

A special congratulations goes out to all of the graduating seniors. Thank you for allowing me to cover your journeys over the last several seasons. Watching many of you grow as athletes and individuals has been something truly special, and I appreciate the support you’ve shown along the way. Wishing each of you nothing but success as you take the next step in your lives.

While one chapter begins to close, another is right around the corner. As school sports coverage comes to an end for the summer, I’m excited to shift my focus to the 2026 Thrillbillies season, with Opening Day set for Tuesday, May 26th! I can’t wait to be back at the ballpark creating more memories and bringing you all the action throughout the summer.

I will be releasing the spring photo of the year contest in the next couple weeks so make sure to stay tuned to the page for the contest details to be posted soon!
