Yearly headshot sessions make such a difference.

Ever wonder how much of a difference there is between the straight-out-of-camera image and the final edit?
It really depends on how the original image was photographed. For my headshots on white, I try to get the exposure and color as close as possible in camera while I’m shooting.
The final edit is where I clean everything up and polish the image. That can include removing parts of the flash or light stand if they show in the frame, brightening the background to a clean pure white, smoothing major clothing wrinkles, minor skin retouching, stray hair removal, and adding a little dodging and burning to bring everything together.
The goal is never to completely change the person. It’s to make the final image look clean, professional, and finished while still looking like them.

Britt brought the color and the personality into the studio today and we leaned all the way into it ☀️🌸
Originally from Colorado and a fellow photographer, she made the move last year and is now an elementary school teacher.
She came in for a mix of branding images, updated headshots, and something a little more fun and expressive and this setup delivered.
Bright, playful, and full of personality. And if you know me, I LOVE anything colorful, so this was especially fun!
