A year and half ago, I photographed Melissa and Brien's wedding. It was a beautiful Autumn day and every detail was special and full of love. Here we are a year and half later and they are expecting!! I was DELIGHTED when Melissa reached out about maternity portraits. Before the shoot I'd noticed - in every photo she'd ever posted of herself throughout her pregnancy - her happiness and joy for this baby boy. And it's clearly there in these portraits too! Melissa was just beaming! I am so happy for this wonderful woman and her husband! We created these portraits on a gorgeous Sunday in February at Cedarock Park in Burlington, after having to postpone due to lousy weather the day before. Couldn't have worked out better! Who says you can't make beautiful photos in winter?? Thank you, Melissa, for the pleasure of capturing you at this most significant moment in your life! You are stunning, mama!! with Melissa Berry

This is my niece! Shelby braved some seriously chilly temperatures and rain to create these portraits, and never complained once! She was an absolute trooper and the results are amazing! I can't believe this girl is now a young woman, graduating high school in just a few short months. She was one of my flower girls when she was six years old; how fast time flies!! Here are a few of my favorite portraits from her first session (that's right, there's a second one coming soon that has a TOTALLY different vibe, so stay tuned!). Melissa and Brien were married on October 15, 2016 in the Holt Chapel at Elon University. Their day was so very beautiful and full of personal touches! Their ceremony was one of the most love-filled ceremonies I have ever attended! These two were absolutely made for each other and it shows in the way they look at each other and in how they celebrated their marriage with friends and family! They were so excited to get married and I was honored to be a part of it!

Great time photographing the ribbon cutting of the new Vance County Animal Shelter this morning!! The new shelter was so desperately needed for these animals and it's finally finished! I had an AWESOME time with Cody during his Senior portrait session! He sure can turn on the swagger, but his smile lights up the room! Cody is a KILLER baseball player and I love all the cool stuff we got at his high school baseball field! And everything else too! This was a GREAT session; so many unique locations and Cody was game for anything!
