A behind the scenes look at episode 6 of Casper Stories with Omar Bermejo — a Paralympian, veteran, and dad whose journey from injury to Olympic-level training in Casper is nothing short of inspiring.

This was hands-down my favorite shoot of the series. We filmed fast-paced tracking shots at Edness Kimball Wilkins, (with me riding on my ) family moments on Casper Mountain, and some awesome footage of night skiing with headlamps.

Omar’s story is truly inspiring. Check this episode out we are super proud of it.

A behind the scenes look at our episode with Dr. Joe McGinley — orthopedic surgeon, engineer, and mountaineer who’s helping put Casper on the map with world-class medical innovation.

We filmed across multiple spaces inside The McGinley Clinic, lighting nearly every room ourselves to create something clean, cinematic, and personal.

Joe’s story is wild — he’s treated patients from all over the world using procedures he invented, and he trains on Casper Mountain for Everest climbs in his spare time.

❄️ It was 20 below zero the day we filmed. Everything from setup to teardown was a sprint between heated trucks.

A behind the scenes look at episode 4 of Casper Stories for .casper with Sam Seeton, the founder of — an app that’s changing the game for hunters and fishers across Wyoming.

We filmed a duck hunt east of Casper (3:00 AM call time 💀), hit the river for golden hour fly fishing, and dodged a fire ant ambush somewhere in between (PSA: don’t stand on an anthill while filming)

Sam’s story is all about making outdoor access more fair, safe, and available to everyone — whether you’re chasing ducks or casting a line.

Cool side note - NFL linebacker and Casper native Logan Wilson makes a guest appearance in this episode.

A behind the scenes look at our Casper Stories episode with Lars Alsager, hatchery superintendent at Dan Speas and a lifelong steward of Wyoming’s outdoor legacy.

We filmed across two jam-packed days — from wading into the North Platte River at sunrise, to following a fish stocking run out to Alcova Reservoir.

This was one of the most technically challenging shoots of the series with lots of aspects to consider: vintage lenses, DJI lidar system, drones, underwater fish shots, and a whole lot of hoping I didn’t dunk a $15k camera setup in the river.

In honor of submitting to the 2023 Heartland Emmy Awards I decided it was time to update the poster for FIRE SPINNER. We are so happy with the success, awards, and attention it’s gotten so far. It’s been screened in virtual and in-person festivals in America, Europe, and Asia. Won best WY documentary at the and was nominated for best Wyoming doc at the . It’s won best cinematography at multiple festivals as well. Excited to see what else is in store for this short doc! 3 camera interview BTS from an upcoming feature doc I’m DP’ing. While setting the camera angle for this shot I nearly fell through the loft of this old barn. Big ole hematoma on my knee and a tetanus shot later, can confirm filming up here was worth it. Also was my first time in Canada 🤙🏼
