All wedding days are beautiful… and some are pure magic. ✨

Georgie & Cameron’s day was one of those days I know I’ll carry with me for a long time. It isn’t often that clients turn into friends, but somewhere along the way, these two stopped feeling like clients and started feeling like family. 🤍

Every single part of yesterday was stunning — every detail, every moment, every emotion… and Georgie, you were an absolute vision. But as beautiful as the day was, the two of you and the love you share outshined all of it.

Thank you both for trusting me so completely, for welcoming me into such an important chapter of your lives, and for making me feel like I was more than just the person behind the camera. Being chosen to document a love like yours is something I’ll never take for granted.

I’ve been working on something a little different behind the scenes, and I’m SO excited to finally share it. 🤎

I’m getting ready to place my first order of Rustic Roots Photography merch with a local printing & embroidery company, and before I finalize quantities, I want to see who wants one!

We’ll have T-shirts, embroidered hats & duck camo hoodies — all designed to feel like me: earthy, outdoorsy, a little rugged, and very Rustic Roots. 🌿📸

A little business update 🤍

As Rustic Roots Photography continues to grow, I’m making a few changes to help provide the best possible experience for every client.

Beginning immediately, all portrait sessions will require a signed session agreement and a 50% non-refundable retainer at the time of booking in order to reserve your date.

Over the past year, I’ve been incredibly fortunate to photograph so many wonderful families, couples, seniors, and little ones. As my calendar continues to fill, I’ve also experienced the occasional last-minute cancellation, no-show, late arrival, or date being held for someone who ultimately decided not to book. While I completely understand that life happens, those situations often mean turning away other families who were hoping for that same date and time.

This new booking process helps ensure that every session on my calendar is reserved for clients who are committed, while also protecting the time, preparation, and planning that goes into every session.

The session agreement also allows me to clearly communicate policies regarding scheduling, weather, image delivery, editing expectations, and payment so everyone knows exactly what to expect before your session. My goal is to make the entire experience as smooth, transparent, and enjoyable as possible from start to finish.

If you’ve booked with me before, don’t worry—the heart behind Rustic Roots Photography hasn’t changed one bit. You’ll still receive the same personalized experience, the same attention to detail, and the same passion for capturing genuine moments you’ll treasure for years to come.
