I grew up on my family’s dairy farm and have been surrounded by horses from a very young age. When creating artwork, I celebrate the history and passion behind our world's magnificent creatures. While I may not be a newborn photographer, I truly believe moms-to-be deserve their moment too.

Pregnancy is such a transformative season of life filled with anticipation, change, excitement, and a love story that begins long before you ever meet the little human you are growing. It is a chapter worthy of being documented just as much as every season that follows.

I captured this portrait during a session last year and moments like these always remind me how much I enjoy creating something artistic, authentic, and meaningful for you to look back on when this season eventually becomes a memory.

And one thing I will always encourage? Make the session personal, our pets walk alongside us through every chapter of life, including this one, which means they are always welcome to be part of your story. And of course horses are never off the table either. 🖤

Because motherhood begins long before birth and every season that shapes your story deserves to be remembered.

Going back through some older galleries and found this sequence I captured of a blue heron putting on quite the show.

I have always loved taking time to photograph wildlife, especially birds. There is something so cool about standing back and watching nature unfold exactly as intended. No posing, no second chances, just patience and being ready when the moment happens.

What made this one even crazier was watching this heron pull out a fish nearly half its size like it was absolutely nothing. Under normal circumstances I would applaud the skill and appreciate the circle of life.

BUT considering I also fish this pond, I am pretty sure me and this blue heron officially have beef now. I respect the hustle but I would also appreciate if he left a few behind for the rest of us. 🖤

There is something sacred about the generations who came before us.

The men and women who worked long days, sacrificed quietly, built lives with their hands, and carried burdens their families may never fully understand all so the people standing beside them today could have more.

The patriarch of a family often becomes the keeper of stories. The one who remembers how it all began, who weathered the hard seasons, made impossible choices, and loved deeply enough to build something meant to outlast him.

And one day, these photographs become more than portraits. They become of where you came from, whose shoulders you stand on, and the legacy that was built long before you ever arrived.

This is why preserving family history matters. Because the people who built our foundations deserve to be remembered long after the stories stop being told. 🖤

I'm not gunna lie, I 100% teared up when I finished this edit.

I was born and raised on my family's dairy farm and now my husband and I have taken over my childhood home. I did not work on the farm growing up, I will admit I was the youngest and the only girl so I decided I wanted to play with ponies instead.

But there has always been a sense of pride knowing that my Dad and my entire family have all played a part in keeping the dream alive. When I think of Western New York, I think of valleys, rolling hills and farmland as far as the eye can see.

This is what home looks like for me and this is what Western New York feels like for me.

It's looking a little post-apocalyptic outside today.

These photographs were taken today, July 15, 2026, here on the farm in Western New York. They have not been altered aside from my watermark..What you're seeing isn't morning fog, it's smoke drifting into our region from the large wildfires burning in Canada. As the smoke travels high into the atmosphere, it scatters sunlight and gives everything a hazy, muted appearance, which is why so much of Western New York and neighboring states look like they're covered in a strange blanket of fog.

It's a surreal reminder of just how connected our world is. Wildfires burning hundreds of miles away are changing the way our skies look, the air we breathe, and even the way the landscape photographs.

If you're spending time outdoors today, especially if you have asthma or other respiratory conditions, it may be be a good idea to keep an eye on the air quality and limit outdoor activity if needed.

Sending all of the thoughts to our Northern Neighbor and hoping for clearer skies soon literally and figuratively. 🖤

Savannah wanted her entire portrait experience to revolve around her 12 year old German Shepherd, Xena, and from the moment we first chatted I knew exactly what I wanted to create.

Then this happened.

The second I glanced at the back of my camera, I knew we had nailed it. This portrait was everything I had envisioned and more, and I may or may not have gotten a little too excited behind the camera.
