Fall is coming, and so are family photos.

There’s just something about the warm colors, cooler evenings, and that golden fall light that makes this one of my favorite times of year to photograph families.

My fall calendar is officially opening, and I’ll only be taking a limited number of family sessions this season.

11,000 feet looks pretty good on motherhood.

We traded the usual maternity-session backdrop for mountain air, towering pines, and the incredible cliffs of Cedar Breaks.

And THIS is why I love adventure sessions.

There is something special about a wedding in Zion.

Surrounded by towering red rock cliffs and endless views, these two began their next chapter exactly where they wanted to be—together, focused on what mattered most.

From quiet moments to spontaneous twirls in the middle of the canyon, every part of their day reflected who they are as a couple. No distractions. No pressure. Just genuine love and the adventure of starting forever.

Zion continues to be one of my favorite places to photograph weddings and elopements. The landscape is incredible, but it's the stories that unfold here that make it unforgettable.

A trip to Zion National Park.
A 21st birthday celebration.
A best friend keeping a very big secret. She thought this adventure was all about celebrating her best friend's birthday. What she didn't know was that her best friend had been helping plan the surprise of a lifetime.
As the sun dipped behind the canyon walls and the views stretched for miles, he dropped to one knee and asked the question that changed everything.
Months of planning, the help of a trusted friend, and one of the most breathtaking locations in the country came together for a moment neither of them will ever forget.
Congratulations to these two on their engagement and to the birthday girl who managed to keep the secret until the very end.

There’s something sacred about an elopement in the desert.

No audience. No distractions. Just two people, the sound of the wind moving through the canyon, and the red rock mountains standing witness to the start of forever.

These two chose to exchange vows surrounded by the incredible landscape of Snow Canyon State Park while Outland Officiant led a deeply personal ceremony crafted just for them. I had the honor of standing nearby as both photographer and witness, documenting every quiet moment, every tear, every promise.

This is why I love elopements.

The experience becomes about the marriage — not the production.

Just connection, intention, and the kind of love that feels at home in wild places.

✨ Another elopement booked — and this one is headed to the red rock magic of September at Snow Canyon State Park ✨

I can’t even pretend to keep this excitement quiet. This is exactly why I love elopements so much.

Every elopement starts with a blank canvas. No rules. No expectations. Just intention.

Together, we shape a day that reflects who you are — the places that feel like home to you, the people you choose to stand beside you, and the moments that actually matter.

For me, the creative process isn’t about recreating Pinterest photos or fitting into a mold. It’s about slowing down and focusing on:

- the couple at the center of it all
- the friends and family you intentionally choose (and pets!!)
the laughter, the quiet moments, the stories unfolding in between

Elopements aren’t about less — they’re about more meaning More presence. More connection. More memories that feel real when you look back years from now.

Going through my yearly photos reminded me why I love photographing real moments — I had the absolute honor of capturing Bryan and Brianna’s surprise proposal in the heart of Zion National Park. 💍✨

Even though they traveled from out of state, Bryan knew exactly where he wanted to ask the biggest question of his life… and Zion delivered. Clear skies, warm weather, and the most perfect red-rock backdrop you could ask for.

Brianna’s reaction? Pure magic.
Their connection? Effortless.
The entire evening? A reminder that love stories deserve to be told in beautiful places.

So grateful to be invited into moments like this. Congratulations, you two!
