Good afternoon, everyone! 💕
Thank you so much for following along on this journey—even through the quiet months. I want to start by saying a huge thank you to everyone who has supported not only my photography, but also my bakery. Running two small businesses is not for the faint of heart, and I’m endlessly grateful for the chance to do so.

Earlier this year, I had no idea where my career was headed. I was completely burnt out from the medical field and decided to take a leap to be my own boss. I poured my energy into photography first, and used that momentum to help grow my bakery. Over time, my bakery became the heart and soul of everything I do. Photography has also meant so much to me, but I quickly learned that I can’t do both well at the same time.

What began as offering discounted shoots to build my portfolio soon shifted into giving back to the community in a different way—by baking the gluten-free treats that people like me, have missed for so long. I love both crafts dearly, but juggling deadlines for each left me overwhelmed. Because of that, I’ve made the difficult decision to put family, portrait, and lifestyle photography on pause for now.

This wasn’t easy-I would truly love to serve everyone-but I don’t want to give anything less than the care, time, and dedication you deserve. Some recent galleries didn’t meet my standards, and I made the choice not to accept payment for them. You deserve my best, always.

So what does this mean moving forward?
I’ll still be using photography for the bakery and focusing on improving my product work. My hope is to open limited freelance photography slots next year—only when I know I can dedicate the time and heart each session deserves.

A few months ago, I had the honor of capturing a maternity session for the sweetest couple—one that was extra special because it was their very first photoshoot. Understandably, they were a bit hesitant at first. To help ease any nerves, we scheduled a Zoom call beforehand where I walked them through what to expect, answered all their questions, and made sure to learn what they were (and weren’t) comfortable with.

Creating a space where my clients feel seen, safe, and celebrated is everything to me.

Hey friends, it's been a minute!

I know it's been a while since I’ve posted, but I couldn’t let any more time pass without saying a huge thank you to each and every one of you. Whether you're family, a friend, a client, or someone who’s been following my journey-you’ve made it possible for me to keep doing what I love most: photography and baking.

While things have been buzzing behind the scenes with my other business, Rue's Whisk & Crumble, I’ve still been behind the camera-capturing moments at markets, showcasing my baked goods, and working with amazing clients. Both passions are alive and thriving, and I’m so grateful to be able to pursue them side by side.

At the start of this year, I dreamed of one day being published. I didn’t expect it to happen so soon, but it did! I'm beyond honored to share that my work has been featured in Sweet Baby Magazine, The Photograp.her. Magazine, Shutter Odyssey Magazine , and Bold & Beautiful Magazine. Seeing my photos in print has been surreal, and such a powerful reminder that hard work, passion, and a supportive community really do make dreams come true.

To everyone who’s been cheering me on, whether you've just joined the journey or you’ve been around since I was posting landscape shots in middle school-thank you. Your encouragement has shaped the way I see my work, helped me grow as an artist, and reminded me to keep creating from the heart.

I’m so excited to share more with you soon. Thank you for your patience, your kindness, and for being part of this journey. Truly, I couldn’t do it without you.
