🏁 The Regatta returns to Grand Lake! 🚤

We're excited to be back working alongside the judges team for another weekend of high-speed hydroplane racing!

Last year, race duties kept us busy monitoring turn lanes and providing live aerial views to assist race officials, but we were able to capture some footage between heats and put together this short highlight video from our perspective on the course!

This year, we'll be joined by Black Label Imagery, LLC, allowing us to capture even more photos and video while continuing to support race operations from the judges stand!

If you've never experienced the Governor's Cup Regatta, it's one of the most exciting weekends of the summer in Celina. Some of the fastest hydroplanes in the country will be racing on Grand Lake for two days of action-packed competition!

Between the wind and rain, this wheat season brought plenty of late nights chasing calmer conditions.

Views like this were often the start of our nights spraying and made the long hours a little easier.

Glad to have all scheduled wheat fungicide acres officially wrapped up!

Next up: selective wetland and cattail management before corn fungicide season begins!

Big changes at S.R. 29 & Market St. 👀

The former China Wok building was demolished May 4th, and things are officially moving!

VTF Excavation, LLC is in charge of demolition, excavation, curb cut installation, utility work, and fine grading the pad.

Wawa's current construction window is Sept 16, 2026 – April 15, 2027, with hopes of being operational sooner.

🦌Deer Season or Not - We’re Still Recovering Deer!

A couple of weeks ago, we got a call about three pen-raised deer that managed to pry open a fence and make their great escape!

During our search, the owner received a solid tip on their location - and once we arrived, we launched the drone to confirm their position and keep eyes from above while the dart gun was prepped. The mission: safely sedate all three and bring them home!

The first dart landed perfectly… and that’s when things got wild! It takes about eight to ten minutes for sedation to kick in, and as soon as the first dart hit, all three bolted! From there, our job became keeping visual contact from the air and marking where that first deer would go down - because once sedated, they need a reversal dose to safely wake back up.

Once deer #1 went down, we locked in the coordinates. These deer were tight - when one went down, the others refused to leave its side! That gave the owner a perfect window for a clean dart on #2. Same process - they ran, we followed from above, and when the second went down, deer #3 stayed right beside it, giving one last perfect opportunity!

All three antlerless bucks were safely recovered, loaded up, and transported back home. Once the reversal meds were given, each was up and back on its feet in no time!

What an awesome day - and a truly unique mission we were proud to be part of! Needless to say, those gates are now double reinforced!!!

🚨 Grand Lake Safety Update 🚨

Ahead of the Snowmobile Ice Exhibition this Sunday, February 1st at 1 PM, we put the drone in the air to assess current ice conditions on the lake.

Attached is a map highlighting areas of open water (marked in red) as of Wednesday, 1/28/26, along with video and photos showing thin ice sections of the lake. With recent weather changes, some spots may begin to freeze or lock up by Sunday - but they still deserve extra caution, especially when traveling to and from!

⚠️ Please remember: no ice is safe ice. Conditions can change quickly, and thickness can vary dramatically over short distances. Always exercise caution, especially when traveling unfamiliar routes.

We’re sharing this information strictly for awareness and safety. Stay alert, stay safe, and enjoy the weekend responsibly!

💥 .350 Legend buck found & down! 🦌

This hunter made the shot and watched the buck run a couple hundred yards into neighboring woods. He was able to track him for a short distance, but eventually the trail vanished. After grid-searching the woods and nearby CRP with a buddy and coming up empty-handed, he decided to make the call!

The morning after the shot, we searched for a couple hours before the sun completely ruined our thermal visibility. It felt like all hope was lost - but we weren’t done yet.

We geared back up for an evening search, because we find deer! (that’s been our motto this year). About 20 minutes into the flight, we successfully located his buck. He had made it an incredible 1,400 yards from the shot, tucked into a drainage ditch.

Hearing the words “I would have never found that deer” never gets old!

🦌 Curiosity turned into confidence on this recovery! 🔫

A hunter’s father wanted to learn more about our services after his son shot this buck and believed he should be down. After bumping the deer a couple times on the track, they made the smart decision to back out.

After talking through what had happened and what they were seeing, we recommended giving the buck a few hours to settle before taking flight. Later that night, we showed up and got to work.

Once in the air, it didn’t take long. Within minutes, this buck was located. Dad was blown away by what the drone and thermal imaging could see, and the son was fired up to finally get his hands on his buck!
