Today I went for a stroll up Hurricane Mountain for exercise. Late morning start at the parking lot but surprisingly I had the road to myself. Wasn’t long until it was clear visibility and overcast to thick fog and misting. By the time I got back to my car I was soaked. It was fine though. Good exercise and I relived a few Stephen King books I had read from my youth. 😂

Absolutely beautiful day to hike up to Hermit Lake. There was a TON of people on the Tuckerman’s Ravine Trail. Picture perfect day in the ravine. Blue sky, sunshine and no wind. Chrystal Cascades was totally iced over.

Spent the morning exercising on Mt. Washington. At the start I sat down on the outside deck of the AMC to put on my spikes when a chipmunk ran right up to me and wanted to explore my backpack. After I pushed him away a few time he got the message and went off search for a more gullible hiker. The river made for some nice pictures but I likes the icicles hanging off the rocks next to the Crystal Cascades. The bigger ones were approximately 6 feet long. After the second bridge at 1.5 miles up the trail the snow was heavy but well backed on the trail. Beautiful winter wonderland! As I neared Hermit Lake it began to snow. very light but enough the the Headwall and the ravine were socked in and barely visible. All in all a great hike.
