At the end of October I shot my first wedding. Rachel and Blake are friends from work, and while weddings are not my usual thing, I thoroughly enjoyed doing this for them. Crystal Bridges Museum is a lovely venue, although not being able to use flash poses its own problems.
I am so happy to have been a part of their special day and wish them all the happiness in the world.

Last week I started a new project on the male physique with the lovely Oscar Rayford Jr. as my first model. All of the images were edited with the intention of being finished as black and whites, and I have a couple more guys willing to take part as well.
If any of you guys out there would like to take part please feel free to get in touch and we can arrange a date and time to get you scheduled in. I'm not paying a modelling fee but you will get access to digital copies of the images.

Photography is not just about having a camera and pushing a button. It's about understanding your camera, understanding that relationship between aperture, ISO and shutter speed and then combining it with with a creative eye to be able to see the shot, frame it and capture it at just the right time to ensure you get the very best result you can. There's nothing worse than looking at your shots and knowing in the pit of your stomach that you could have done better. Your client may not realise it, but you will always know, and that is what makes you strive to keep learning to keep bettering yourself, because the moment you believe you know it all, is the time to give up!

Thin wraps are definitely the way to go when ordering large prints. This photograph of my grandson looks stunning. The thin wrap is ¼ inch thick printed on lustre paper with a satin laminate and has two ¼ inch mounting blocks to make it float off the wall. Wow! It looks stunning!
