I've been working hard since we got home from Utah to finish this gorgeous wedding. Well, I got it sent off!

So much love❤️
I had the privilege and honor of capturing Seth and Emmalee's wedding yesterday.
I'm thankful I get to call Emmalee my cousin. Growing up, we had so much fun being in the group of oldest grandkids. I remember being about 7 and crying as they left to go back home. The older I got the more I realized how lucky I was to be related to her. She is one of the most Christlike people I know. When I grow up, I want to be more like Emmalee.

I guess it's time for an update.
I love weddings. I love the hustle and bustle, seeing the nerves, everyone dressed up, the happiness, excitement, the months and sometimes years of planning coming together and then the party. But, I also love my son. Ever since I was a little girl, I've wanted to be a mom- and to give my children my full and undivided attention. In fact, on my first date with Donovan I told him this. At the time, I had no plans of ever being a photographer. Life is interesting though.
Having said this, I'm thankful that I am able to be home with Kolson. I do still love picking up my camera. I've been focusing more on family portraiture lately. (Go follow Kean Photo + Video to see that work.) Donovan and Kolson often go with me and hang out on a blanket near by. But, I do love weddings. I miss them at times. For the next 8-10 months, (minimum) I'm stepping back with the exception of elopement style, less that 3 hour weddings. And even those, I plan on taking in moderation. (Kolson only takes so many naps that I can edit during.)
If you love my style and want me, I do have a husband that taught me all I know. I started as his second shooter for weddings. If you want a full wedding, and he doesn't have a wedding himself that day, he can shoot, and I will edit. We've done that before. This definitely isn't a good bye, but a change. Maybe its temporary, and maybe its not. Only time will tell.

I love you all! I love all of the couples I've met over the past 5 years. I'm truly honored that you've trusted me to capture one of the most important days of your life!

Last July I met Joe and Taylor for their engagement session. (Donovan Anderson Films came with and did a save the date video.) When they mentioned after that they weren't sure if they would get married in Texas or New Hampshire, I initially hoped for Texas. Clearly. This is not Texas(; They decided on New Hampsire, and decided to have us capture their day. Oh. My. Gosh. Not only are they just a literal dream to work with, New England in the fall is a literal dream. I thought I'd witnessed gorgeous autumns. Nothing compares to what we just experienced.
Many years of happiness to the sweetest, kindest, goofiest couple out there!
