Well, with the weather looking better for today, I was able to juggle a few things and head back for day two of the Offutt AFB Air and Space Show. I am so glad I was able to make that happen as it was well worth the trip. Here are a few from today's show.

Just a few from today's rain shortened show at Offutt AFB Air and Space Show. This was my first time photographing an air show and I learned a few things - probably more what not to do. Overall, it was a good experience, and I will do it again. Let me know what you think.

Thanks to the event organizers for letting us know about the approaching weather with enough time to get to shelter...my camera gear really appreciates that!

With weather cancelling plans to cover last weekend's Funny Car Chaos event in Byron, Illinois, I switched directions and headed south about 2-1/2 hours to the Belleville High Banks 305 Nationals in Belleville, Kansas. This place is a big, wide, high banked and fast half mile. Did I mention high banked? The straights here are banked higher than most tracks ever thought of being. I had been here before as a spectator a dozen or so years ago for a 360 show and was looking forward to going back. Near perfect weather, 41 cars and drivers from all around the country and a county fair at the same time... what's not to like? After two full nights of racing, it came down to a last lap, last turn pass to crown this year's Champion. At the line, it was Joey Danley Racing with the win by about a car length. When the dust settled, I had a blast, met some great people and added another new track to my photography resume. And, I think I just added another must see event for next year...
