Surrounding yourself with people who remind you of who you are is one of the best gifts you can ever give yourself.

Over the years, I have been a part of a lot of communities. Some have come & gone and served their purpose in a specific season of life and others have been consistent, year after year.

One of the communities I discovered a couple of years ago was and I can genuinely say I am a better person because of it.

When I first met online I had seen that she offered life coaching, though this is something I hadn’t ever really considered doing before after our first initial meeting I knew it was an investment I needed to make for myself.

This was such a pivotal part of my self-growth journey and discovering what it really meant to love & invest in myself. A journey I’ll forever be on but know that because of Den & this crew, my heart posture behind it all has changed for the better.

This past June I attended my first .sunday.retreats and I knew instantly it wouldn’t be my last.

These girls get me, because our passions are so incredibly aligned. Grateful for our time together this past summer & excited to be attending another retreat this February!

Our Honeymoon! 🍯 🌙

At the end of October, and I flew out to Seattle to spend a week exploring the Olympic National Park in the state of Washington.

The entire trip was all a surprise for me planned by my incredible husband and it was truly such an adventure!

We got to experience van life by touring the beautiful park in a camper van! Had photos of us taken by our incredibly talented wedding photographers Liz & John and got to experience some really charming coastal towns along the way.

This is a trip I’ll always remember!

it’s been a season;

of learning lessons, letting go, and choosing a softer approach to my everyday life.

i have always had this tendency to be really tough on myself. in every area of life… from work, to relationships, and especially with my own personal growth.

entering into marriage has definitely exposed a lot about me (both the good and maybe the not so great) but the best part has been having a partner who is by my side, no matter what, reminding me of who i am and who i was created to be.

daily, i am reminded to be kind to myself and this allows me to be more kind to others.

it’s a constant lesson but one that i am grateful to be growing in everyday.

~ i wrote this for myself, but perhaps there’s someone out there that also needs this gentle reminder, too. 🤍

two weeks /

just two simple weeks into marriage and already i am finding myself being completely humbled by the process of it all.

i always dreamed about getting to this point: finding your best friend and life partner, falling in love & then getting married to your person. and here i am, just two weeks after we vowed to one another & in front of our closest family + friends of the life we promise to lead.

however, without realizing it beforehand, the thing I had not processed much through was what life would look like post-marriage. what would it mean to live a life alongside a partner? to be a good wife? to love myself, my husband, and God above all else?

this week i have found myself in a reflective state of mind; a hunger to discover the life God is calling me to.

and although i am not sure of all that is ahead of me, i know that my hearts desires to pursue what was tattooed on my arm over 6 years ago still holds so much truth. to be a proverbs 31 woman, clothed in strength & dignity.

we don’t have to have all the answers (something i’m telling myself daily) but we do have a choice; a choice to love, to be kind, and to have faith in the process of it all.

here’s to planting seeds.
to seeking growth,
and to discovering a life in pursuit of Jesus.

thankful for this life, and thankful for a husband who loves me so well: i can’t wait for the many more weeks, months, and years ahead as we grow both individually & together as a team.

re-discovering joy /

i have been on a search these past couple of years for a feeling i couldn’t quiet place. over these years, i have found myself experience many happy moments, but felt like i was missing something deeper… the feeling of pure joy.

i knew what it felt like because i had experienced it in past seasons of life.

it wasn’t until i attended the @ retreat, not knowing what to expect but knowing what my heart was craving. that’s exactly where God met me and showed me just how simple this discovery could be.

it wasn’t in the things that i did (or don’t do), or in how i’m feeling that day… but it’s in choice to partner up with God and take notice of what’s already happening all around me.

it’s the little moments like this morning… taking the time to unplug and intentionally focus on being present where joy is found in the Lord.

it truly is that simple.

“I have told you this so that my joy may be in you and that your joy may be complete.”

Spent a week in the mountains with Godly woman who are passionate about their health, wellness & faith. My cup is overflowing with gratitude and love for myself and for others.
sunday.retreats went above & beyond to make this a week to remember for a lifetime! Can’t wait for next years retreat!

We are officially in busy season and what a beautiful & busy week(s) it has been!

Just in the past month, I have had the opportunity to photograph 12 brands/small business owners in capturing content for their socials & websites!

And what a joy it is to work with such a variety of creatives and capturing them in their element. It’s truly such an honor!

With my last post, you saw my announcement for the new photo business where our new brand together will be the home of all couples, weddings & lifestyle photography. Although my family & lifestyle clients will be transitioning over to the new brand, isn’t going anywhere!

Here you will find me continuing to share all of my incredible clients & the content that we capture together, alongside my day-to-day lifestyle and moments in between.

So… basically, nothings changing here! Just continuing to show up, serve you all & love on ya big time 🤍
