“capturing moments, our island, your story” 📸🇬🇬 Who Am I? Sadly, my first camera met a watery end.

Firstly, Thank you for visiting my page, and showing an interest in my passion. To be honest, I don’t think I’ve always had a passion for photography, in fact, It's only really been within the last 10 years, that it's starting to grow on me, and I found myself always being the one taking the
Photos on my phone, and on other peoples cameras. It was about 5 years ago I Brought myself my first DSLR c

amera which was a Canon 200D, and straight away I started to self teach myself. I did this by watching YouTube videos, talking to other photographers, and going out whenever I could (in all weather) To practice. As this was a strong new passion of mine, I started to learn quickly, and became my biggest critic, and always wanting to learn how to improve my skills, which to this day I still continue to do after every photo I take. While out on a Photoshoot I dropped it in the sea (facepalm). To say I didn’t weep a little would be a Lie, And for the next few weeks, I felt lost without my camera. A

New Chapter, For my 2020 New Year's resolution I brought myself a new camera, and upgraded to my current Canon 77D, and started to make something of my hobby, and I’m so glad I did. I’m a very passionate photographer, and I’m always looking for new ideas and skills to learn and try. I will always put 200% into my clients and every photo I take. So if you like my work or would like to work with me on any projects, or would like a one on one photography session then please feel free to get in touch (I can guarantee value for money). Thank you for taking the time to learn about me, and for viewing my work, and I hope to hear from you soon. ChphotographyCi

🏁 What. A. Day. At Le Val des Terres! 📸🔥

The Guernsey National Hill Climb Championship once again delivered incredible action, speed, and more than a few heart-stopping moments! Huge congratulations to Wallace Menzies, who made it 4 wins from 4 in the Channel Islands, setting an astonishing new outright hill record of 26.17 seconds around Val des Terres. An absolutely phenomenal achievement. 👏🏆 The battle behind was just as intense, with Matt Ryder and Will Hall swapping podium positions across the two run-offs, keeping the championship fight incredibly close. Locally, Steve Brehaut put in a fantastic performance, improving from 8th in Run Off 1 to an impressive 4th overall in Run Off 2, setting a new PB of 27.75 seconds. 💪🇬🇬 As for the photography side of things… these are the moments we live for. One sequence in particular captured a dramatic incident, with car #221 taking to the bank in spectacular fashion. Thankfully, it appears everyone walked away safely, but it certainly made for one of the most intense photo sequences I’ve ever managed to capture! The first image here shows the very start of the impact, with dirt and debris erupting into the air. 😮💥 A massive thank you to all the marshals, officials, competitors and spectators who made today another unforgettable chapter in Guernsey motorsport.

Please feel free to like, tag and share.

We may be on a sabbatical this year, but one of our partnering motorsport clubs, The Guernsey Motor Cycle & Car Club, is hosting the biggest motorsport event of the year this Saturday.

The British Hillclimb Championship returns to the Val des Terres with a strong entry of visiting contenders lining up alongside a competitive field of local drivers and riders.

The championship this year is evolving into an iconic three way tussle for glory, with Will Hall, Matt Ryder and Wallace Menzies all winners this year and separated by a handful of points as they head into the Jersey rounds on Tuesday.

The best view of the action as always will be at the top of the hill, where the Oracle Stand will make a welcome return. The grandstand is free to all and always fills up quickly! Thanks to Oracle Guernsey for making this happen.

The Club is also excited to be joined by Trust Ford Guernsey and Freelance C.I. - Guernsey at the top of the Hill. They will be showcasing an array of fantastic new vehicles, so please stop by and take a look at their superb ranges.

Here’s looking forward to an amazing days racing, and best of luck to all of the competitors! 🏁🇬🇬

What a fantastic day at the Varzon Guernsey Sprint yesterday! ☀️💨

The sun was shining, the atmosphere was brilliant, and the strong tailwind certainly helped the riders fly down the course! The downside? The spectators got a complimentary sandblasting thanks to the gusty conditions... 🌬️😂

It was great to see so many riders giving it their all and so many supporters lining the route to cheer them on.

A huge thank you to St John Ambulance Guernsey for their swift and professional response after a rider required medical assistance and was taken to hospital. We wish the rider a full and speedy recovery, and we're incredibly grateful for the volunteers who are always there when they're needed most. ❤️

Congratulations to everyone who took part, and thanks to all the organisers, marshals, volunteers, and supporters for making it another brilliant day of racing.

📸 Here are some of the highlights from the day!

Guernsey on a calm summer’s day… it doesn’t get much better than this. 🌊☀️

Looking out across the crystal-clear waters of Havelet Bay, with the historic Castle Cornet standing proudly in the distance and wispy clouds stretching across the sky.

Sometimes we search far and wide for beautiful places, forgetting that scenes like this are right on our doorstep.

✨ Last night’s skies over Guernsey ✨

It’s nights like these that remind you just how small we are. After the clouds finally cleared, the Milky Way put on an incredible display, with countless stars visible to the naked eye and even a few satellites streaking across the sky.

Even more amazing, these photos were all captured on my iPhone 14 Pro. 🌌📱

There’s something special about standing in complete silence under a sky full of stars, watching our galaxy stretch overhead. Definitely one of those moments that makes you stop and appreciate the beauty above us.

Which shot is your favourite? 🌠

What. A. Night. 🌊📸

The Guernsey Harbour Carnival never disappoints! From the chaos of the team dinghy races (powered by nothing but determination, frantic paddling… and questionable strokes 😂) to the legendary tug of war across the marina entrance, where someone was always destined for an unexpected swim… it was an evening packed with laughter, competition, and brilliant community spirit.

These are the moments I love capturing—the split-second reactions, the teamwork, the wipeouts, and the huge smiles that make events like this so special.

A massive well done to everyone who took part (and to those who ended up taking an unplanned dip! 😅), and thank you to everyone who came out to support such a fantastic local event.
