Hello everyone! I can't believe I made it to Miami and I've set sail on the ship Queen Elizabeth! We're headed for Dan Juan Puerto Rico! I thought you might get a kick out of seeing my cabin accomodations. I love an upper bunk and for now I've got my own cabin. Yes it's tiny but it's all mine and I do have my own bathroom and shower! While my food is part of the deal, I don't get paid for a month and must pay my own Internet fees at $9.00/week. I made it onboard with $3.00 to spare. That's it. I could use a little more help to keep me going until payday. Anything you can give helps an extraordinary amount! I'm so grateful to you for investing in my life's pinnacle! Dreams come true, and for the little girl inside who dreamt this up long ago, thank you!!! I'm shooting and making beautiful memories for good people already. Tomorrow, Puerto Rico and more updates to follow!

Hi everyone,
I've had some folks ask for an update so away we go! I've just returned from Houston TX where I took my seaman's physical and PASSED! It was extensive but I'm in excedingly good shape for a seasoned lady of a certain age. 😏
I onboard next week to the ship Queen Elizabeth on the Cunard Cruise Line for the next 7.5 months. I've worked very hard to get this position in an interview process over 6 months. One global search, one position, and I landed it. I'm incredibly excited to travel the world and shoot for the rest of my life! My little girl's dreams come true! To everyone who has donated, prayed, sent warm regards, and simply cared, I thank God for you. We did it and I'm flying to Miami Wednesday to join the ship Thursday morning. First stop, Caribbean tour then repositioning with the ship through the Panama Canal and on to Alaska!!!

Hello everyone,
Thought I should post an update. I've been asked to ship out early, March 3. I'm terribly excited, but in need of funds for my seaman's medical certificate. There are only 4 states that provide what they require. Washington, New York, Florida and Texas. I'm in California. This cost is not reimbursed and it's nearly 1000 just for the exam and certificate. I've come so far. To have this position derailed due to lack of funds would be devastating. If you'd be so kind to share with your friends and family I'd be grateful. Thank you for reading my post!
