I've been meaning to share these pictures from See You at the Pole on September 23rd, and after yesterday's events at Colleton County High School, I feel like there's no better time. ❤️
Yesterday was a reminder of just how much our children need our prayers. Not just when something bad happens. Not just when there's a tragedy or a scary situation. But every single day.
A few weeks ago, these students gathered around a flagpole, bowed their heads, wrapped their arms around one another, and prayed. Nobody forced them to be there. They showed up because they wanted to.
And THAT is something worth talking about.
We hear so much about what's wrong with this generation. We see the negative headlines, the bad decisions, and the things that make us question what this world is coming to. But I wish we spent just as much time talking about the good.
Because the good is still there. These pictures are proof of that.
There are still kids who love Jesus. Kids who aren't afraid to pray in front of their classmates. Kids who are trying to make a difference and stand for something bigger than themselves.
As parents and adults, we have a responsibility to do more than just shake our heads at what's happening around us. We need to be praying for these children, encouraging them, guiding them, and most importantly, showing them what it looks like to live out our own faith.
**Our schools need prayer. Our teachers need prayer. Our administrators and law enforcement need prayer. And our children need prayer now more than ever.**
One bad decision should never define an entire generation, and one scary day should never overshadow all the good happening inside our schools.
I'm thankful I got to capture these moments, and I'm even more thankful that there are young people willing to stand together in faith.
**Don't give up on this generation. Pray for them. Believe in them. And be the example they need.** ❤️
