Hot take: the unplanned wedding moments can make the BEST photos. 🤍

Of course we’ll get the beautiful portraits and all of the photos you’ve been dreaming about… but some of my favorites happen in the moments no one could have planned.

Pretending to lick the wedding cake.

Your wedding party being completely ridiculous.

Standing back for a second and admiring your wedding dogs together.

Your bridal party secretly spying on your couple portraits.

Laughing so hard together you forget there’s even a camera there.

That quiet moment between a mom and her daughter that lasts only a few seconds.

Those are the photos that feel like you.

Because your wedding gallery shouldn’t just show you what your day looked like. It should bring you right back to how it felt.

The laughter. The nerves. The people you love. The tiny interactions you didn’t even realize I was capturing.

Those are the moments you can’t put on a shot list and they’re often the ones you’ll treasure the most. 🤍

Some love stories I’m lucky enough to watch unfold. 🤍

In January 2023, George reached out to me with a plan: he wanted to propose to Sarah on Devil’s Bridge at sunrise.

We planned it all out, pulled off the surprise perfectly, and I got to capture the moment Sarah said YES.

Then, in May 2024, I got to photograph them again, but this time, they were saying “I do.” 🥹

Sarah and George chose to get married in Sedona, the same place where this chapter of their story began.

There’s something so special about photographing a couple’s proposal and then getting the call to come back for their wedding day. To go from secretly waiting for that first moment on Devil’s Bridge to watching them become husband and wife in the same place… those are the stories that stick with me.

From “Will you marry me?” to “I do.” 🤍

One moment. Two completely different perspectives. 🤍

While I’m focused on the moment happening right in front of me, my second photographer is catching everything happening around it — the reactions, the little in-between moments, and sometimes an entirely different angle of the exact same second.

Because your wedding day isn’t happening from just one perspective.

And some of my favorite parts of a gallery are seeing those moments side by side — what you remember happening + everything you didn’t even realize was happening at the same time. 🥹

This is exactly why I love having two photographers on a wedding day.

Private vows are one wedding trend I hope NEVER goes away. 🤍

Your wedding day moves FAST, and private vows give you a moment to slow down, be together, and actually feel everything before the craziness of the day starts.

They’re more personal, more intimate, and there’s no pressure of saying everything you want to say in front of all your guests.

And you can do them with or without a first look! You can see each other and exchange your vows face-to-face, or keep that first look for the aisle and read your vows privately without seeing each other.

Just a little moment that’s completely yours before the day takes off. 🥹
