Surfers Healing Folly is about so much more than surfing. It’s about watching your autistic child experience a place where they don’t have to be explained, fixed, or fit into a box.
For "one perfect day" the labels disappear. They’re just a kid on a surfboard...laughing, being brave, trying something new, and being completely free. You get to see a side of them that can sometimes get lost in the struggles of everyday life.
And for parents, there’s something incredibly powerful about being surrounded by people who don’t need an explanation. People who understand the hard days, the challenges, the exhaustion, and the joy.
Surfers Healing reminds us that our children are so much more than their hardest moments. It’s community, acceptance, hope, and belonging. It’s a place where our kids can be exactly who they are...and somehow, so can we.
