Happy New Year! How is everyone enjoying their 2025 so far?? I’m in my slow season, which has been beautiful for rest as well as given me the opportunity to finish some personal and business projects I’ve had on my mental to-do list for literal YEARS. It feels so good to tackle these things, make progress and free up some brain space. Anyone else working on the same?

Patrick and Anne are married!! Ahh!! Congratulations! Yesterday was such a beautiful celebration of their love story and all the people who have supported and loved them along the way. This couple deserves every bit of happiness, and I couldn’t be happier for them. Love you two!

Vow books are one of my favorite little details on wedding days. Rather than typing our your vows on your phone and having to pull it out in the middle of the ceremony to read from, this is a much more beautiful and timeless option!

If you’ve ever been photographed by me, you know nothing makes me giddier than these types of photos. I absolutely love finding flowering trees and bushes to tuck my clients into. During Maria’s senior session, the azaleas downtown were in full bloom so of course we had to take advantage of it. 🌸 When I was going through the photos later, my eye was immediately drawn to this image and I kept coming back to stare at it. There were other more smiley ones from the same set, but there was something about this photo that held my attention so I decided to include it. While culling photos, it’s always a balance between choosing “safe” images that I know my clients will love and ones that are a little more artsy or subjective. While creating this post, I just realized this is Maria’s profile picture and it makes me so happy that she loves it too. Such a beauty!

Congratulations Kathryn and Daniel! These sweethearts came from Chicago to celebrate their wedding with their friends and family. The rainy day was a bit of a weather adventure, but these two didn’t let the rain stop them from enjoying their day. They were so happy and full of joy to be married. Congratulations again!

Honestly, it was so, so special to photograph Gretchen and Eric’s wedding. Their love story is one of my favorites. Gretchen and Eric met as lifeguards when they were teenagers and then dated throughout college. After college they went their separate ways and lived their own lives. Fast forward several decades and they reconnected by chance. They met up for coffee to catch up on each others’ lives and it didn’t take long before they knew they were meant to be together and picked up where they left off! Gretchen’s sister officiated their wedding and shared stories of Gretchen and Eric when they first dated, and it was so fun that their families knew each other from way back. I love that these two finally get their happy ending!
