My ideal date night. ❤️📸

Corey and I got the chance to go out together and shoot some details of downtown Charleston (shout out Aunt & Aunt for babysitting the kiddos).

I’ve always loved walking around with a camera at night to capture the deep contrast between the darkness of night and the stark brightness of the artificial lighting that keeps little bits of the night aglow. It was an especially gratifying experience this time with Corey being able to capture some of these images alongside me.

TBT still a thing?!

Found this photo I took from 8 years ago and it brought a huge smile to my face when I came across it. It features my cousin Dustin, who has been climbing trees since we were children, with his first born daughter Alyx.

Moments like these are ones we all look back on fondly, let’s capture them together. 🥹🫶✨📸

A backyard in NYC is a rarity. I was fortunate enough to have had one when I was still living up there.

It served as a sanctuary during the Covid pandemic for my roommates and I.

It also served as a photography studio space for me with the sun as a light fixture, clouds as light diffusion, and our giant tree as a cucoloris or a backdrop depending on the photos I was taking.

The giant tree later fell down due to heavy winds and the fact that it was dying and my roommates and I didn’t even know it.

These photos are of my sister Emily when she came up to visit me. She wields yellow flowers in the backyard, prior to the giant tree falling.

A hand-me-down camera from my grandma sparked it all. 📸

She had a pile of things she was going to get rid of and I immediately noticed a black bag that looked an awful lot like a camera bag… Opened it up and found a barely used Canon AE-1. 💚

What allowed me to grow and learn as a photographer beyond the first roll I shot were the countless times my sisters allowed me to capture them as my photo subjects.

These photos feature 2 of my 4 sisters. They are triplets. I’m the third one. 🙋‍♀️

Even though these photos are from 10 years ago, I still love them (and I guess my sisters too 😉).

Hold tight to your family and friends during these trying times. We’re stronger together. 💪🫶🥲✨
