Moments that make me smile from the prettiest spring wedding day at Woodlawn Estate.

I could shoot at Woodlawn all day, everyday. It’s easily one of my favorite venues here in SOMD. Seeing how Jessica + Allan brought it to life with their own spin was perfection. The perfect pops and of color and dusty blues. Jessica was absolutely stunning. Allan barely kept his s**t together 😆

You could feel the love surrounding them in every room. It’s funny how life works out. I remember photographing Jessica’s senior portraits in downtown Leonardtown. Who would have thought, all these years later, id be photographing her wedding day to the love of her life. A full circle moment. Moments that I’ll never take for granted.

Summer evenings spent with your children doing something you love, fishing.

The most beautiful evening spent on my besties farm soaking in the warm light and throwing a line or two with the kiddos! And let me tell you, Phillip was SO PUMPED to have a rod in his hand with his daddy 🥹

I love that Caitlin wanted super casual portraits, pond side, fishing with her family. A pastime that they all love.

Self Portraits continue…

I have been patiently waiting for our Azalea to bloom. We have the worlds tallest azalea in our yard and I’ve always wanted some sort of portrait within it, so it was fitting that I made it happen for the month of April. Beauty is pain because the 11th slide was me eyeing a spider… that was right in my face. I’m not anti spider by any means. I hate other critters more than spiders ahem mosquitos 😆 but I prefer them not in my face

First wedding of the season was spent celebrating two incredibly sweet, and hilarious, human beings surrounded by their friends and family and the beauty of the Occoquan River at the Ospreys.

I couldn’t have asked for a better way to kick things off than with Morgan and Phill. They both are so welcoming and make you feel like you’re one of their circle. And I think Michelle and I mentioned more than a few times, how clear their love for each other is. And Phill is obviously head over heels for his girl. He couldn’t keep his eyes, or hands, off of her.

It was an honor and joy to spend my evening getting to vibe with their friends and family. Of course I had to put the hottest song of the evening as the tunes to their images. Just so you all know, all of, except for maybe 2 images from that dance floor, were during Let it Go. Which Morgan requested for her flower girls. But really it was for every adult there because they WERE KILLING IT! ❄️

The first look.

With your soon-to-be, with your father, with your besties. Something about a first look always gets me. Even those that don’t want a first look, but a first touch, or private vows. Those moments are incredibly intimate and it’s always an honor to be witness to such moments.

I’ll be the first to tell you, I love a first look. The time it gives you on your wedding day to be with your guests and to be more present alone makes it worth it, but I’ll never force anyone into something they truly don’t want. It’s your wedding day, do what YOU want, how you want! I’m there to support you and document your day exactly how it unfolds.

But here’s a little glimpse back on a mix of first looks, touches and private moments I was fortunate to get a front row seat for.

My 2026 wedding season begins this weekend and I CAN NOT WAIT!

With my work, I always aim for my images to be as true-to-life as possible, but with a pop. Your greens will be green, blues will be blue, reds are red… unless they are obnoxiously red and I need to tone it down a bit 😆 but true to color and life is ALWAYS the goal! I’m a sucker for color and true skin tones.

But I also hate distractions, uneven horizon lines and fly away hairs and let’s not forget those stubborn blemishes that decided to pop up the morning of your photos 😆 you can also ways expect some warmy, creamy images with color around these parts 💃🏻

Last week, the forecast for this entire weekend looked awful, so I reached out to my second round of spring minis and asked if they were available this week instead and I’m SO glad we did because the trees are done from all of this heat. And even though they were nearing their end, we still captured of MAGIC!

I can’t wait for my next series to release this month!
