Some wedding days are beautiful because of the details. Others are beautiful because of the people. Yours was both.

Beneath the shade of the iconic oak trees at The Ivy Place, you celebrated a love that felt effortless, grounded, and completely your own. The kind of love that doesn’t need to be put on for the camera because it’s already there in every glance, every laugh, and every quiet moment in between.

I knew from a very young age that I was never meant to work for someone else.

Now, every day, I’m paving the way for my girls to see that they can do anything they set their minds to.

Some days are hard. Sundays especially tend to make me reflect on everything still left to do. But I have to remind myself that most people never find the courage to start the thing they’ve been dreaming about, let alone keep showing up for it.

Comparison is something every small business owner faces. It’s easy to look at someone else’s success and forget that they started from a different place, with different support systems, different challenges, and a completely different journey. When we focus too much on what everyone else is doing, it can steal our creativity and leave us exhausted.

The truth is, showing up every day takes courage. Building something from nothing takes courage. Continuing when you’re tired, overwhelmed, or unsure takes courage.

So if you’re a small business owner needing a reminder today: waking up, showing up, and continuing to chase your dream is an accomplishment in itself. Don’t overlook how far you’ve already come.

This flat lay feels like summer in the sweetest way.

The moment I saw these details, I thought of orange sherbet melting on a hot August afternoon. The citrus oranges, soft yellows, and pops of pink feel playful, joyful, and completely unforgettable.

From the custom envelope addressing and vintage stamps to the scalloped menu cards and welcome party invitation, every piece was thoughtfully designed to create an experience for guests before they even arrive. These are the kinds of details that tell the story of a wedding weekend before a single vow is exchanged.

Some wedding days just feel timeless.

A quiet morning surrounded by family. Vows exchanged in a small church filled with the people who know your story best. The sound of the doors opening. The walk down the aisle. The tears. The laughter.

Then an evening spent celebrating at a beautiful country club as the sun sets, glasses are raised, and the dance floor fills with the people who love you most.

These are the weddings I find myself drawn to again and again. Rooted in tradition, centered on family, and filled with meaningful moments that never go out of style.

From the sacred moments inside the church to golden hour portraits on the greens, every part of the day deserves to be remembered exactly as it felt.
