Every day with her though is truly a blessing, and we have met some of the most amazing people during this experience." 🫶

24-weeker Koa!

His mom shared about her emergency delivery and early NICU journey, "My emergency c-section was due to vasa previa. I only found out I was going to deliver 10 minutes prior. Since then Koa has had brain surgery for a VAD placement due to Grade 4 bilateral brain bleed. He is stable now, growing bigger everyday, and just turned 1 month old. It’s been a turbulent and scary journey but I try to be in the present and love on him as much as possible. Skin to skin is my saving grace!"

Alexander and Ava's mom shares, "We found out we were having twins at the first ultrasound. I am a pediatrician and saw it right away! Twins do not run in either of our families, so it was a beautiful surprise. They decided to make their appearance a bit early at exactly 34 weeks. In the last 3 weeks they have quickly come off their respiratory support and are just working on feeding/growing. We are so excited for when they get to come home with us!"

Sylvie's mom shares about their journey, "We found we were expecting after getting bloodwork done at a routine check up. I actually got the results in my health portal while we were grocery shopping at Walmart and told my husband immediately. Our baby was diagnosed with Tetralogy of Fallot at 28 weeks. This is a congenital heart defect that causes deoxygenated blood to be delivered to the rest of her body and requires open heart surgery at 3-6 months of age. I was then also diagnosed with severe preeclampsia at 32 weeks and hospitalized until we gave birth via C section at 34 weeks."
