Katie and Jamison's flat lay: all blues, whites, and creams. Her earrings. Her ring nestled right in the center of flowers, exactly where it belongs.

As a professional photographer in Charlotte NC, the detail gallery is one of my favorite parts of every wedding to put together. These tiny things — the earrings she picked out, the ring she said yes to — they deserve to be remembered just as carefully as the big moments.

Michael walked Liz down those front steps at Alexander Homestead as the sun went golden and the roses were in full bloom, and I genuinely had to remind myself to keep shooting. This is the kind of light that makes you feel like you're inside a dream!

This is why I love spring Alexander Homestead wedding photos. The house, the light, the gardens - it never dissapoints!

Throwing it back to last June for Maria and Eric — kissing under string lights, in the rain, under a clear umbrella at Mariposa Chapel.

And yes, we have been getting a LOT of rainy wedding days lately. I have thoughts about this.

Here's the thing: rain on your wedding day is not a disaster. It is confetti that nobody had to clean up. It is a built-in excuse to be close to each other. And when the light hits a rainy night just right? That rain looks like glitter in the air.

I am a *little* obsessed with this shot. Blooming dogwoods, perfect light, and a bride looking over her shoulder at her bouquet while her girls stand beside her? This is the stuff wedding photography dreams are made of 🌸

Christine's spring wedding at Alexander Homestead had the most magical post-ceremony light and her bridesmaids' color coordination was absolutely stunning. Soft, feminine, and completely beautiful from every angle.

Engagement sessions at are always some of my favorites 🌺

Warm, lush, and absolutely breathtaking even in the coldest months, the orchid conservatory is hands down my favorite Charlotte-area spot for winter sessions. Karissa and Andrew shared the sweetest kiss right in front of the indoor waterfall and I melted a little bit.

No golden hour? No problem 😎✨

Jane and Will came to on a beautiful spring day with one tiny hiccup: totally overcast skies. So we made our own golden hour. I pulled out my light, got creative, and honestly? You cannot tell. Not even a little.

This is your reminder that a great photographer doesn't need perfect conditions. We just need each other and a little bit of problem-solving!

Throwing it back to this past fall in Uptown Charlotte 🍂✨

Andromeda and Robert wandered the alleyways, explored the gardens, and honestly? Every single corner of Uptown gave us something gorgeous. McGill Rose Garden with the fall foliage and the last of the season's roses? Chef's kiss. These two were glowing the entire session.

Here's another post and surprise, surprise it's from Grace and Jacob's wedding again. I need an entirely separate post for the details! 🌸💐

Grace's pink and red romantic palette was made for a flat lay and I had the most perfect dusty pink backdrop to match. Everything just fell into place and I had so much fun putting this together.

Wedding detail photography is one of my absolute favorite parts of the day. These are the things you'll forget about in 10 years, and I am here to make sure you never do.

Rain on your wedding day? Let me tell you why that's actually a gift 🌧️☂️

Grace and Jacob's spring wedding at Mariposa Chapel is proof that rainy day wedding photography produces some of the most timeless, romantic images you'll ever see. We pivoted, leaned into the chapel more than I ever have before, and I am OBSESSED with what we got. The garden beside the chapel looked like something straight out of a fairytale.

Also I bought a parasol specifically for this wedding and I have zero regrets. It was perfect for Grace's vibe and I will be using it forever now.
